When the team loses, it’s Garrett, Linehan’s playcalling, the WRs suck, the TEs cant catch or the defense or even a ‘chunky’ Zeke, bar none the best RB in the game whom Linehan is now using extensively in the passing game. When the team wins, it’s Dak to these homers.

Yea, seeing this far too often. If you have to argue so much to prove your QB is good, then he probably isn't. If he were as good as some people here like to claim, we wouldn't even be having these debates all the time.

Everyone seems to forget that the scouts detailed these problems long before he was ever drafted. It's not like Fan Zone "haters" are making things up about him.

Dak I like as a person, and as a player. That said, he has regressed with accuracy. He needs a better QB coach. His pocket presence has regressed. For every good play he makes, he makes one where you just scratch your head. A good example, he makes an amazing run for 3rd and 8 to sustain a drive. Then misses Gallup on a layup throw when he has 12 yards of separation from Apple that would have sealed the game. That was a throw that every good QB in the league makes. Like back yard football open. I really think Dak can be as good as the front office thinks he is already, but he needs a refresher on his mechanics and pocket presence, especially protecting the football when under pressure. While he has been sacked more this year no doubt, and a lot has to do with the protection, but I'd be willing to bet that probably 60% of his sacks he's taken this year are things he could do to get rid of the ball faster, or when nothing is open down field, and no rush lanes are there, get out of the pocket and toss it out of bounds. Works for Aaron Rodgers should work for him too.

His problem is he’s not a progression QB, which leads to all the other issues including accuracy and holding on to the ball way too long. QB coaches aren’t going to compensate for the lack of slow processing. That’s what causes confusion with some. He makes a nice deep throw, but then he overthrows a WR.

But that’s because the situations are totally different. The first throw to Gallup, he was going there from the beginning, while the second throw to Gallup where he missed by like 12 yards was basically a whole different progression. I’m not even sure of it was a ‘streetball’ type play, but if he is aiming to throw one way, and has to go the other side, he’s pretty bad. It was basically the same TD to Cooper last week, when he broke the TD on the sideline. It was a play action fake against single safety who also hit on Zeke against man coverage.

The only throw Dak has made that was out of the norm, was the one 90 yarder over the middle to Cooper which he avoids like the plague. He also threw one in the dirt before the half last week and looked like a deer in the headlights going into the locker room.

He’s only going to hit the other progressions is of his blocking up front is outstanding.

He sucked in the second half because Saints played more zone.

Dak ‘haters’ don’t bash the rest of the team at the expense of propping up the QB. Most Dak haters consistently say this team is good enough to make a run, with good QB play.

Now you got people saying Gregory almost cost us the game in the second half and should be cut, while Dak almost fumbles us to a loss with his garbage play the whole second half. But he shouldn’t be ‘cut’...

Tonight was good Dak and bad Dak all in one game.
I hope dang near everybody can agree with this. I also find it funny how some on here been saying Dak was Tebowesque and Colin Cowherd just said the same thing lol. I guess he a Dak hater too even though he isn't even a fan of the team.

This thread is laughable. What a waste of bandwidth.
The Dak love thread is on the front page why don't you go there instead of making ourself angry? Doesn't seem to make sense to me to purposely anger yourself. Actually seems quite stupid.

Wasn't sure what the intention of the thread was based on the title, so opened it to see. I appreciate your advice though! Will reach out to you in the future for further forum musings before proceeding.

Also, for the record I'm not of the opinion that Dak is the answer. I just don't see how the main take away from this game is that he's awful either. Extremely odd.

You shouldn't be parroting dumb stats my man. That also means Garrett has 29 wins and most of y'all aren't in any rush to keep him. If this wins number doesn't hold any weight with Garrett for each individual poster stop using it for Dak. Its a stupid stat period.

We are pretty much dead last in offense with the #1 running back in the league

Why is that?

Huh...?

We are 20th in yards per drive and 18th in points per drive. That's not at all "dead last", and since Cooper got here it's much better than that.

But to answer your question, our top receiving threat was a 5'6 white guy for the majority of the season.

Don't forget Dak can run and is hard to bring down. His accuracy is very suspect

This board can be downright pathetic to read these days. We have won 4 games in a row and now are easily in position to get to the playoffs and you still have these guys who want to crap all over Dak at every turn. Do these people not watch other games and see every QB out there misses throws? I have seen Rodgers, a supposed god, miss many throws this year.

Dak isn't perfect but many on here have some agenda against Dak and make him out to be Nathan Peterman. It's ridiculous. You'd think after such a huge win, this board would be fun to read. But nope, you have this garbage.

You think a bad QB is capable of going 29-15 over a 3-year span with a defense that’s been mostly average?

I just need to know if you’re serious.
