Dak I like as a person, and as a player. That said, he has regressed with accuracy. He needs a better QB coach. His pocket presence has regressed. For every good play he makes, he makes one where you just scratch your head. A good example, he makes an amazing run for 3rd and 8 to sustain a drive. Then misses Gallup on a layup throw when he has 12 yards of separation from Apple that would have sealed the game. That was a throw that every good QB in the league makes. Like back yard football open. I really think Dak can be as good as the front office thinks he is already, but he needs a refresher on his mechanics and pocket presence, especially protecting the football when under pressure. While he has been sacked more this year no doubt, and a lot has to do with the protection, but I'd be willing to bet that probably 60% of his sacks he's taken this year are things he could do to get rid of the ball faster, or when nothing is open down field, and no rush lanes are there, get out of the pocket and toss it out of bounds. Works for Aaron Rodgers should work for him too.

Wish we didn't mail in the preseason. Wish we didn't have a gaping hole at TE.

Wish the guys who started the season at starting wr were still with the team...lol

Yet...they all bagged on him. Given 0 to work with, what did they expect?

Love the win but still worried about our qb. He doesn't throw picks but he doesn't take many chances and holds on to the ball for too long. Which creates strip sacks. Dallas passing game is non existent inside the 10. Either Zeke has to run it in or get some type of swing pass to the outside in order to score. The other option is Dak running it in.
I think you discovered the issue in your own blind hate....we don't have a red zone option. Cooper is good but isn't the ideal red zone target and defenses are doubling him. There is no one else who can beat their man right now...

There in lies the issue.

Horrible playcalling is the other issue.

Fumble aside, I think 24 of 28 is plenty good enough for a QB. You can pick it apart all you want but you would be happy with those stats from anyone but Dak.

The defense without a doubt won the game tonight.

But this post goes too far.

It’s not realistic.

That being said. Cowboys should look for another QB in the off season. But I doubt they will.
The most underrated quality about Dak is he can take a hit. The offensive line is below average. Three of our linemen are turnstiles. He should be out for the year. Dak is tough as nails. Romo would have been out for the season if he was hit like Dak has been the last month.

That's part of it, sure. He seemed to have no problem when Witten was there. But that still shouldn't mean he is completely incapable of finding a WR in the endzone, ever. But Dak has similar issues anywhere on the field, it's just a lot more noticeable inside of 10 yards because he doesn't have the space. It's harder for all QBs, with him it becomes impossible. I guess I should be glad he's not throwing picks. That would be worse.

I do agree on the horrible play calling in that area. They need to call plays using the Cowboys strength in that area. Passing it into the endzone isn't going to happen.

You mean Zeke has 29 wins..

When the team loses, it’s Garrett, Linehan’s playcalling, the WRs suck, the TEs cant catch or the defense or even a ‘chunky’ Zeke, bar none the best RB in the game whom Linehan is now using extensively in the passing game. When the team wins, it’s Dak to these homers.

Dak couldn’t even score the whole second half once again after Saints went zone and almost cost this team the game. But Randy Gregory they want to cut for ‘almost costing us the game’.

“Dak haters” are the only ones consistent, saying the team is basically loaded. The biggest criticism of the Romo ‘benching’ was that he was finally surrounded by the personnel to put this team over the hump.

At least yesterday, with our dominant defense, pretty much any NFL offense would've won yesterday.
Pretty easy to top 10 points vs the Saints.
Love it

You mean Zeke has gone 29-15....
You think RBs can do that with bad QB play? Come on.

Then explain Adrian Peterson’s crappy record with the Vikings. Or Barry Sanders’ record with the Lions.

There’s a reason the market for QBs is what it is and the market for RBs is what it is.

*Sigh*
How quickly you forget he looked great in the first half. Saints are considered the best team in the NFL with a helluva defense. 7 sacks today for them. Jesus H Christ, the agendas around here are mind boggling sometimes.

Nobody is forgetting.

I’ve been saying for a couple weeks now teams are basically playing Dak press man coverage with only one safety, because they don’t respect his arm and are stacking the boxes for Zeke and any decent QB would make them pay from the get go, on the outside.
And this team isn’t going anywhere until Dak can beat basic coverages.

It’s no surprise two of our biggest gains in the last two weeks were a go route to Gallup and if I remember correctly one to Cooper with no safety anywhere near the play and Dak’s first read.

And then the Saints went more zone in the second half and Dak was a scrub, proving once again his limitations.

Our only TD was a screen plays on a beautiful play call by Linehan and Dak in the red zone, basically almost cost us the game with his stupid, idiotic holding onto the ball garbage. Guys on pace for over 50 sacks this year and currently has like 11 fumbles..
