You gotta have a plan. And the plan should be to solidify the oline in the near term as we upgrade the D. If you solidfy the o line it keeps Romo upright and your team in contention for the division even without a defense. Hopefully your fanbase stays with ya until you hit on the needed Dline and LB upgrades needed.

You're right about Eric Wright, he was at Cleveland under Ryan and Henderson, signed a 1 year with Detroit, started for them and is now a FA, he might be good on the cheap, a little bigger CB, only downside, was I heard he quit on a play in December and had a Two hour meeting with Guther Cunningham over it and was in some kinda trouble in College too.

I would rather spend our big FA money on Carl Nicks and hopefully build D through the draft. But If we could afford Nnamdi I feel like we can sign Nicks and a corner.

Brandon Boykin is a pet cat, but I think he will rise out of our reach in the 2nd round.

I'd add Eric Wright to the list of FA CBs...he's worked with Henderson and Ryan before.

ahhhh, yeah he worked with them alright, he was benched in 090 and 2010. The guy is a zone cb and fits Detroit well, he would be awful here and Ryan and Hendrson don't like him.

He won't demand a long-term contract.

We can sign him to a 1 year "prove it" deal and see what happens.

ACL injuries are rarely a serious, chronic issue these days. Actually, there have been many cases where the repaired ligament is actually STRONGER post-op, so I'm sure they would put him through a full physical and determine whether or not he's worth the risk.

You offer the player a contract he signs and agrees, thats how its done.
Sure you can check him medically but if he passes but lets say he lost a step o he reinjuries that knee, then what, who do have now to play CB.

different players come back from different injuries in different ways. He may be fine but he may not. A physical won't tell you how he will play on the field.

Some times it makes the knee stronger but other times it can make it weaker.
You have no clue if he has the same speed he still had before that injury.

I'm ok with singing him to a one year deal and giving him a shot but I would still sign someone else, just to be safe.It wouldn't stop me from going after Carr.

Has anyone seen this guy play.
I live in Nashville and the Titan fans are wanting him to walk away.
They guy is a zone CB who rarely plays in man cover.
When he does line up vs bigger WRs and play in man he gets owned.

The word on the local radio here in NAshville is that Finnegan thinks he is a top 10 CB in the NFL and wants to get paid like it.
I don't even think he is a top 32 CB.

no the worse case would be Dallas having to play Scandrick and Jenkins as #1 and #2 and then who will play the slot.
Now thats a nightmare.
I would go hard after Carr a proven 3-4 starting CB.
Why do you think Dallas will not go after a big name CB just because of Jenkins in his last year.
Be more of a reason. Jenkins can't stay healthy so I doubt they resign him yet. I would take Carr over Jenkins.
