Where in God's name do you think "name" coordinators come from? They don't just "pop-up" as name coordinators.

Sometimes BDF5 you have to do the dirty work and develop your own just like other teams do.

Why are we bringing in Norv to tutor/groom JG if the HC is not to be worried about the X's and O's like you feel is for a HC that is known for Defense?

Yes they can stop Manusky from interviewing, and if they werent sure if Phillips was coming back they wouldnt have allowed him to interview with the 9ers

and if you don't know either way, it would be a jerk move to prevent a member of your staff from interviewing for a better position, because something MAY happen. We didn't prevent anyone we wanted to stay from interviewing for better jobs.

Yes, the only interview you cant stop are if they are interviewing for the head coaching position

Yes, you can. The only exception is if you are interviewing the coach for a head coaching position. For example, the Dolphins denied permission for at least two other teams to interview Garrett to be their OC until Dallas came knocking.

The lateral move rule was changed because teams kept using phony titles like "assistant head coach / outside linebackers" to get around the rule.

He is an offensive coordinator for us. That is not a step up.

What San Diego might want to do, and what they realistically would do to a guy being offered a better job, are entirely different. It's a big stretch.

If they think Jason is good on his own and does not need Help they will hire Wade.

If they think Jason needs help they will hire Norv.

Manusky is very highly regarded by Marty and would probably be bumped to DC if Phillips left.

Them giving permission to the 9ers to interview him for their DC job tells me they already know Phillips isnt leaving


Funny enough this is a guy Hostile and I have spoken about coming over with Phillips if he was hired

maybe this means that norv could possibly bring singletary with him. win win scenario if u ask me
