Silver helmets now?

I'm watching the replay of last night's game and the helmets appear to be way lighter than the pants. In fact the helmet doesn't even appear to be blue anymore, just sliver like the road pants. Did anyone else notice this? It doesn't make sense since they only wear the road blue maybe once a year.

I would have to agree. The helmets don't look blue.

What is the Jones family doing? I can understand the alternate uniforms for fun and profit, but messing with tradition is a no-no unless the tradition is bad. Silver blue helmets and silver blue pants were the unique trademark of the Cowboys for decades. Now it's just another silver helmet.

I'm watching right now. The helmets look the same to me as they have the last several years.

The only thing I don't like is the lighter royal blue numbers that don't match the deep blue star on the helmet. But it's been that way since the mid to late 80's.
It'd look much better if the numbers matched, like they do in my Staubach avatar.

The helmet used to be metallic silver blue, now it's just silver. Oh well, no biggie. I just wish the Joneses would stick with tradition.

No, never a silver/blue. I have a helmet signed by several players from 10 years ago that is the same color as the ones they are wearing today.

I just watched the game and also noticed something different about the helmet. The color seems the same but it appears to have a different sheen. Something looks different. For the record, I have never seen bigfoot or been abducted by aliens, so don't call me crazy. I have a feeling the person who started this thread will be vindicated...

Irvin's helmet looks the same in the 90's as it does now. If there was a change it would've happened in the 1980's when they switched the jersey's and went to the shinier pants.
