Rookie QBs haven't won a Super Bowl for a reason and this Sunday Dan Quinn most come up with the game plan to show exactly why no rookie QB has ever won a Super Bowl. No matter how great they looked during an NFL season.
If He wants to be Head Coach He better . . . If Purdy goes off It will be at the feet of Quinn . . . Thankfully Quinn is my guy so The Cowboys are good

Once again who have they beat that has a top defense.
Doesn't matter. The kid has preformed amazingly thus far. He has beat every team he has played to date. Our D better strap it on and be ready for this one or his kid will eat us alive.

But for the record: Against Washington he completed 68.2% of his passes for 234 and 2 TD - 114.6 QB rating. A few weeks later Dak completed 37.8% for 128 and 1 TD, 45.8 QB rating against the same Defense.

You can say what you want but the kid has played extremely well.

He is the biggest X factor in this game and come decide the outcome. Cowboys have an interesting task, do you come after him and leave their yac monsters in space or do they zone it up and force Purdy to make throws in tight windows.
I say you mirror McCaffrey with Parsons

Apparently his bugaboo is drifting prematurely out of the pocket leading to inaccurate passes. Obviously Shanahan has done a decent job of protecting him with that offense so far...

I live in iowa. Watched this kid play his entire time at ISU. He is very streaky and will crumble under pressure. He also has a hard time reading the middle of the field. Linebackers who can cover give him fits. He was benched three different times at ISU for interceptions and leadership issues. He can be had. Niners would be wiser to play jimmy g in my opinion. He is healthy enough by all reports. However the niners have a lot of weapons and stout lines so he is able to get by just enough to beat the scrubs the niners have played. Let’s not forget the seahacks were picked last in the entire nfc but overachieved. so even those wins don’t rate high. I do think the niners are a solid favorite but Purdy is the weak link. We just need to get to him and expose him.
It's weird to me how someone who never really was exceptional in college comes in to the NFL and lights it up. I imagine it's because he was never considered highly by NFL teams, thus coaches don't do much film on such a guy. He will falter when coaches figure out his tendencies and urges. This dude could be a decent backup eventually but likely never a legit starter.

He didn't have Kyle Shanahan running the offense in Iowa...

Shanahan makes it simple for the QB.
- In the 2019 season playoffs, Jimmy G has 6 completion on 8 attempts for 69 yards in a win over the Packers...
- The 49ers use the run game to setup the passing game.

Maybe a testament to how good San Fran is...

Purdy out here ballin' because the teams is so good.

I worry about this kids legs...he seems fast...like real fast. That always gives NFL defenses trouble when a QB can take off
I don't usually agree with Hadenough but in this case I have to say the kid has been ballin for several games now and has a really good cast to back him up.

If you put pressure on any qb rookie or not, they have issues. If you don't believe me, just re-watch the Tampa game. :)

I believe this is the week midnight strikes and the gold chariot turns back into a pumpkin for Purdy. Cowboys win this going away in the same way they won Monday Night. Cowboys 30-13....
That would be music to my ears. The one thing watching the Niners play this year a lot is they are a 2nd half team. They make adjustments and start to over power the other teams. I hope the Cowboys can do the same. Might me up by halftime but I hope we don't take the foot off the peddle if we are. Keep the pressure on them and leave no doubt.

I live in Iowa as well and I agree. We want him to throw the ball under pressure. We don't him to run in space. We want him to throw. Throw and throw some more.

The 49ers give him a good pocket so he does not see much pressure, and they also give him an outlet on every play where he can pick it up quickly.

The Seahawks DTs pressured him up the middle but could not catch him when he ran. Micah will catch him but we need the middle of the line to force him out of the pocket early.

If we can get pressure on him we can force some bad throws and turnovers. The QB isn’t my concern.

Containing McCaffrey and their run and screen game is my worry.

QB Brock Purdy (Iowa State) Runs a 4.84 40-Yard Dash at the 2022 Combine. MEH... not worried about his feet... Make what he see confusing and bring Micah... leave LVE and Wilson playing the run and roaming on passing downs... Real good match up for us... our offseason was preparing for this game! we will win (big!)

I watched Purdy do the Deion high step for a first down against the Seahawks. Had to be only a 10 to 12 yard gain but it came off extremely cocky to me. Here’s hoping Micah brings him down a notch.

Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking in this thread.

As a 9er fan, I could give two $hits what this kid did in college. I care about what he's done so far in the NFL.

How many top 10 QBs or first round picked QBs you seen $hit the bed in the NFL.

If Purdy continues to play like he has, it will be a long day for the Cowboys D.

Great post: we need to send our heat seeking Micah…
