Did you see our OLine manhandle the Fin Dline with a rookie RT?
ROTFLMAO... more revisionist history by a Skins homer...
The TRUTH is, until the Skins got lucky on the last play of regulation, that garbage 54 yard Hail Mary, the Skins had "manhandled" the Fins to the tune of 288 yards of total offense, on 53 plays...
And when push came to shove, the Skins racked up an awesome 16 points, and had to go to overtime to get that many...
And even with that incredibly lucky play on the last play of regulation, Campbell still only put up a 54.2 quarterback rating... without that fluke play, the rating drops to 43.3...
Meanwhile, we saw glimpses of the issues the Skins will have on defense this season as well-- Trent Green put up an 87.5 quarterback rating, completing over 63 per cent of his passes... he was sacked just 2 times in 40 attempts, and really wasn't under much pressure most of the game... and the Skins got just one turnover... the lack of stats and turnovers is a continuation of the problems they had last season...
All in all, it was a lackluster win that could have gone either way, against a rather inferior opponent, on your own field... enjoy it, as I plan on enjoying our win against the Giants, but don't go gettin' too cocky, because I saw nothing yesterday to lead me to change my prediction of a sub-.500 finish by the Skins this year... you guys are just fortunate to have had a rather cushy game for your opener...
I have a hunch the Boys will put up a few more points than 16 on the Fins this coming Sunday, LOL...
