If Romo is healthy, we don't finish last. Even with one of the worst defenses I've ever seen we still won 8 games.

Although, the schedule is tough with the NFC West on our schedule. Every single one of those will be tough.

Also, this is the job of Skip Bayless and always has been. Get people talking about him and his comments. Like we are now.

If Dallas doesn't get decimated by injury to one positional group and the QB stays healthy they will win nine/ten games.
With the history of this team that's a big "if".

Skip says the cowboys are about a 6 win team. and Stephen says they will finish in last place. and the sad part is that i can't say they are wrong. in fact i think they are right on the money.it's going to be a long year for the cowboys.6 and 10 may be being nice. time to blow up this team. the window has closed.

They always pick them to be last, but they never are.

Dude 2009 was a long time ago and against a team we owned. I addressed his last "win and in" game and he looked horrendous. Who cares where the game was, that didn't excuse his performance. Orton played better in that game last year than Romo did in 2013. We were underdogs in that game before the odds makers knew Romo would be out.

What was the last pass romo threw last year ?

The NFC east isn't a power division anymore. I'm not drinking the philly koolaid. They barley beat us 100% healthy with the "awesome Skip Kelly offense that no one had seen before and scored 3 more points than we did. They are soft. Washington...really with Rg knee the arrogant know it all that doesn't want any of his mistakes shown on film and is one knee injury away from being done. Good luck gruden you are going to need it. The giants best years are behind them, The have had their day and are heading for a total rebuild. Dallas on offense should be spectacular. Our oline is better, we have weapons galore, and a new OC who knows how to target teams weaknesses. On defense we are better than what we finished the season with for sure. We don't have the big names but we do have a bunch of physical young players who are fanatical about football. We have a ton of guys coming back from injuries so we can't hang our hat on how good they will or won't be. Our depth is overall better from top to bottom. If we get wiped out by injuries for the 3rd year in a row we will be bad. If not we will be at least middle of the pack, with this offense , middle of the pack will take the east running away. We did go 5-1 in our division a year ago.

Well, I like your confidence. But there's a difference between debating over the phone and debating on television. I've debated over the phone. Different medium altogether.

Unfortunately, we'll likely never get to see you square off against Stephen A. Smith. Maybe you could hold your own. I doubt it, though. Not initially. Again, I've seen seasoned debaters freeze when they get on television. It's just a different medium, and there's just a different dynamic involved when you're on live television. It's like people who criticize anchors for making mistakes, thinking they'd be polished as soon as they sat in the anchor chair for the first time. Then the reality strikes you that it isn't as easy as you think. People always envision they can perform perfectly when there's no pressure around them or on them.

He has every advantage except two, facts and common sense. I don't freeze.

Just because we went 5-1 in the division last year doesn't mean we'll do it back to back years. It seems like a longshot for that to happen again.

I agree with Skip. I see the Cowboys being 6-10 as of May 23rd. My mind could change between now and September but right now this roster looks set to start off slow and if we have any chance it will be from getting hot down the stretch which we never do.

He may hate the Cowboys but he makes a lot of good points in some of his rants.

The haters have been right year in and year out. Dallas has been overrated and a team that chokes.

The last time we showed a pulse of being any kind of threat was under Wade Phillips.

Until the results change then it's going to be like this.

To your Stephen A. point, he is a commentator and commentators are allowed to be biased. The fact that you feel he's the most biased says something about his influence.

To your Skip point, for what he does and the reason you dislike him (likely because of his opinions and his delivery and tact), Skip is hardly a wimp. Skip is not afraid to call out anyone and go toe-to-toe with anyone. That's what makes him popular and why he's warmed that seat for a long time. He will call people out, and then he won't back down when he's face to face with them. I laugh when people say Richard Sherman got the best of him in their debate. No, Skip got the best of Sherman the moment Sherman agreed to come on the show. Again, many posters think they could do the same thing, ask the tough questions. As a professional interviewer for more than two decades, I can tell you it aint as easy as you think. Many people can't handle asking tough questions, particularly when you have the person staring you in the face. No, Skip is hardly a wimp. Remember, he's the guy Mark Tuinei wanted to toss from an airplane.

I have absolutely no idea what to predict for this team for the upcoming season. We could finish in any of the four division spots with a record from 5-11 to 11-5. For the first time in a long time, I don't know what to expect. Injuries will probably tell the story once again, especially in regards to Romo. We're due some good luck on the injury front.

Orton pulled the same kind of epic choke INT that Romo gets hammered about.

Yes, he did. It wouldn't have mattered who the QB of that game was.. either of them would have choked. I don't understand the logic of saying well if Romo was in there we would have won. Orton played a hell of a game but ultimately choked with the 2 INT's. The year before Romo had an EPIC MELTDOWN and played horribly in the win or go home game.

What makes you think that? The year before Romo was the weakest link on the whole team throwing 3 interceptions that were all his fault. In fact he has never done anything special in win and you're in games. The outcome of that game would have been the same regardless of QB.

Also, going 5-1 in the division was extremely lucky. Our team sucked majorly last year, it just so happened the rest of the division sucked more.. until the last game anyway. A more logical outlook would be to split with the division. Be honest with yourself.

First, Romo owns the Eagles. Second, Orton threw TWO interceptions that game. People act like he played well that day, and all he did was dink and dunk and throw picks. Selective memories abound.

For whatever reason, the defense was good last year against Philly, and with Romo in there, that last game would have been a cakewalk in my opinion.
