Smart money says we will not need AP if Hardy signs

If we sign Hardy as all indications seem positive, then it would be smart of us to draft the best RB available at 27.

We sign them for 5 years at a much great savings then AP would costs on the cap.

Take the savings and sign Ro.

I sure hope this is the route we take, unless AP is so willing to play for us he gives a hometown discount.

I'm not paying that price for AP on top of trading a 3rd or higher pick for him

We're setting up for a BPA choice in the draft and we've done an amazing job when we do this

We are not going to pay old RBs big money. People just need to let go of AP already. This isn't Madden.
Hardy on the other hand is in his prime so spending money on him makes sense.

...Not to mention that we had the best RB by 500 yards last year and we still only won 1 playoff game. So even if Romo drops to the top 5 and Dez doesn't catch the most TDs, a pass rush will make us pretty dangerous.

Hmm. Interesting.

I personally do not want a RB in round 1, but can live with Gurley or Gordon if that is where we go.

I suspect that the Peterson rumors will not die until it is settled. Nor should they. I don't hear him saying he is staying. Not even after his meeting with the owner in NYC, and not after the HC and GM went to his home. Greg Jennings doesn't expect him to remain a Viking.

Until I hear he's a Viking, or belongs to someone else. Don't put me down for betting on the smart money.

Not yet anyway.

I still think we get AP. We have to outbid AZ and maybe some other teams. But I think we get him. No way we go with a Rookie or Williams or DMF as our RB/RBBC this season. No way.
