Hmm. Interesting.

I personally do not want a RB in round 1, but can live with Gurley or Gordon if that is where we go.

I suspect that the Peterson rumors will not die until it is settled. Nor should they. I don't hear him saying he is staying. Not even after his meeting with the owner in NYC, and not after the HC and GM went to his home. Greg Jennings doesn't expect him to remain a Viking.

Until I hear he's a Viking, or belongs to someone else. Don't put me down for betting on the smart money.

Not yet anyway.

These things are always fluid all the way up until something is imminent. Like this Hardy thing. At least to the public anyways...
Anything can happen- this off season is teaching us all that quickly.

I was in on the AP train early, but if we get Hardy I'm ready to move on with a young'in in the draft. I'd like to get a kid to spend the next 5 years gelling with a young, great OL.

If the cards fall right and he winds up here cheap, great. It will be fun as heck to watch if nothing else. But its luxury not necessity now.

Why does acquiring Peterson mean that Dallas does not draft a RB in first 4 rounds?

I'm quite confident that Coleman will not be the BPA at 27.

You might be right. He might be gone. He's a top 15 player in the draft. No matter what all the sites say and all the crap the "experts" will tell you just wait and see. After this guys pro day you will be praying that he falls to us.

I would actually think it works the other way

Now that we (if we) signed hardy...jerry and Stephen are probably thinking we are closer than ever...

Now Is the time to hit the accelerator, not the brake

If they take Gurley at 27, that would be a terrible pick. RBs are not worth 1st round picks anymore. If you do get one that high, they better storm out the gate like Peterson's rookie year.

I still go defense at that spot or even another young OL. We can find a RB in the 3rd round.

I have to admit, now Hardy seems on board, I'd start to think AP would be worth a shot. Has to be at the right price and short term though.

I personally think the dez situation has more of a barring on what we do if and when AP becomes available ... If we get a long term deal with dez his first yr or two will be cap friendly and free up immediate cap space

I actually want to remember your posts. I want you to be right and I want to remember it and I want to throw some props at you when it happens.
Not joking. I like your passion for this guy.

Sorry i do not believe we get peterson. If what has been said id true that Stephen is much more involved in personnel then why lose a guy like murray at 8mill a year to trade for a guy at 12 million a year who is older. and to further exacerbate it you give up draft picks for him. to make it remotely worth while Peterson would have to take huge cut but you are still out 2 possible contributors from the draft.
