It would be great if the Eagles held TO hostage for a year (I don't think they will), but it would be justice. He ****ed up their year last year, so now its payback time. Put him on IR and keep him under contract.

Well...we've seen this organization in two FA modes....one year, we sat on our hands while all the good donuts were taken and we were left with crullers...then, last season, we struck often and fast...

I'm hoping we do the latter again.

Yep..fire up that Jet Jerrah and git er done fast and furious :starspin:starspin:eek:

Terrell Owens can't be held hostage. Do you know how much he is going to make this year.

If thats being held hostage...

P.S. would you pay someone a 5 million dollar roster bonus + 770,000 dollars so nearly 6 million dollars, simply to be on your roster and in your facilities annoying you every day?

If I were the Eagles, I'd be calling teams like Denver and offering TO now for a ham sandwich, and let them work out his new deal. Keep him as far away from Philly as possible.

Wheat, I am with you on that one a hundred percent.

I don't remember exactly, but I seem to recall that his contract calls for the $5 million bonus to be paid the first day of the new NFL year. That would be Saturday so I am guessing he gets cut Friday.

Wonder if anyone has ever tried to trade TO to a team he didn't want to play for for a Brandon Whiting, I mean, ham sandwich? That *would* probably work!

That makes no sense at all-- not when you could pay me a tenth of that, and I promise, I could be every bit as annoying...

The Eagles aren't obligated to release him are they? They are well under the cap and could keep on the roster to rot if they wanted to do so

the NFL is a business, you're losing money by keeping a player who doesn't want to play for you, and who you don't want playing for you either, so in other words, TO isn't going to be an Eagle much longer...

This is a business - they still have not cut TO yet - would they eat $5M In cap room to screw TO and retain his rights? Then they trade him - get a 3rd round pick? Heck we left $5M Cap unspent past 2 years. Its a minirity % but would really screw TO and being a FA.

Do the June 1st cut rules still apply? Would that apply to TO if they cut him in June if they can't trade him? Still further screwing TO.
