Parcells was just on ESPN this sunday saying that he would never take a RB with the first overall pick.

One week later he's the VP for the Dolphins, who by coincidence have the #1 pick. As of today, here is the current draft order

Miami......Not with Parcells there

St Louis.......S. Jackson

Jets......just signed Thomas Jones, also have a nice back in Leon Washington

Atlanta.......no brainer.....QB. Arthur Blank pretty much said it the other monday night during the game.

New England......I just don't believe they go RB. Not with an aging Defense. I still say they move down

Baltimore.......McGahee just sighned a big deal there. Need qb anyway

Kansas City......Larry Johnson

Raiders.......very possible

Yeah, you didn't hear???? He bailed on Atlanta. Turns out he was just playing Atlanta against Miami for more money. At least thats what Arthur Blank hinted around at.

Hey!! Maybe we are in a better position to trade for that #1 pick.

Think about it. If Parcells does go to Miami, he will not want to see the Cheats twice a year with McFadden. A trade would ensure that the Cheats can't get him.

McFadden in a Cowboys uniform. Come on Parcells, stick it to little Bill.

The Jets will draft McFadden unless someone trades up.

Trade Fasano (who is very good), Carpenter, and Cleveland's number 1 pick and our number 3 for their number 1.

I know ...... wishful thinking.

Risky getting rid of fasano. worth it getting rid of carpenter.

Tony Curtis has shown some promise but sill may be a little raw.

What?!?!?!

Where have you been the last year?

Michael Vick will be in jail, and he's definitely not going to be back in a Falcons uniform.

The Jets and Falcons could take McFadden.

There's really not a quarterback that is equal to McFadden.

Thomas Jones is not a long-term solution. If he were, the Bears wouldn't have let him go, and they desparately needed him.

The Falcons won't put their fate in the hands of a rookie next year. Either they'll roll the dice with Byron Leftwich or get another veteran on the market. Besides, Roddie White is coming on as a receiver and they have Algae Crumpler, who simply needs a better, more serviceable quarterback to throw him passes. Add McFadden to that mix and you have a ball-control offense, the type of offense any first-year coach would be happy to manage until he could fully implement his system.

I think we Cowboys fans need to give up the idea of getting McFadden. When Cleveland refused to taank  that basically sealed the deal that DMac/Run DMC would be wearing a helmet other than one with a star on it.

Go for two good prospects, which may have more impact in the long haul.

Same as the Patriots, Parcells would not want to face McFadden twice a year and a trade with the Cowboys would stop that, which would put McFadden in the NFC.

Plus Parcells could get a few extra picks, get some of his drafted "Parcells guys", and him and Jones may still be good friends.

I doubt coaches or general managers - especially those with enormous egos - think, "Man I don't want to face him twice a year. Let's make a really ridiculous trade or accept a really ridiculous, low-value trade offer so we can stop X team from drafting a player who may come back to haunt us."

Why do you think the Eagles traded with Dallas so the Cowboys could pick Anthony Spencer?

Teams don't think that way. They think about fulfilling their needs.

Besides, if that player is all that, then you take him. PERIOD.

All this is wishful thinking and Cowboys fans getting their hopes up too high.

McFadden isn't going to be drafted by the Cowboys. We might as well accept that reality and prepare for the inevitable. If it happens, that will be a plus, but right now from where I sit, I don't even care to entertain it anymore.

You know, at first I was joking about this. But stepping back and looking at it, this could happen.

Thoughts?

Exactly, Parcells builds teams with his guys, and which team is he more likely to trade with than Dallas? Name your price, Bill.
