Go ahead and throw him in there as well.

Do you get better results with him last night?

As with many, I watched the game and Brohm did make some mental errors and some atrocious throws, but as soon as the 2nd half commenced, I just thought Rutgers had pretty much figured out the Louisville Offense.

I was actually a flip flop of the 2 defense because in the 1st half, Louisville's secondary was bring the "Wood" big time.

I just wanted to throw him in there. :laugh2:

Morning Josee? Hows Austin this morning? Gotta be pretty excited about Rutgers victory last night.

Austin is doing fine. It may get up to 90 today and then cool back down into the 70s for the weekend. The Longhorns are a bit excited after last night's game.

I have followed both the Longhorns and Aggies since I was a kid. I went to A&M. I love college football and although I loved the game last night, I wish Louisville could have pulled it out. My reasoning is that I feel an undefeated Cardinals team had more of a chance of getting to the title game than an undefeated Rutgers team. I want the higher ups to truly consider implementing a playoff system and the best way to do that is get a team in there that isn't a premier team.

Not to mention, did you guys see that game he played against an extremely good Miami team when he was a freshman 2 years ago?

Where he was so talented that the Louisville coaching staff was forced to have him split time with Stephan LefFlors (who wasnt bad himself) to get him on the field.

I have been impressed with the guy but no, he didnt play well last night and I am pretty sure his "Big Brother", who is I think the QB Coach was let him know about it on the sidelines every chance he got :laugh2: .

It's rediculous to try and say that because of the Rutgers game, Brohm is not a talented prospect. Name any QB who was ever great in the NFL and I'd bet you could find a game where they didn't have a great outing. I agree with you 100%. I've been watching Brohm since he was a freshman and even then, he was very impressive IMO. He's going to have a chance to play on Sunday, no question.

I don't see that as much of a contest for the national championship game Louisville vs Ohio st or Mich and you can add Texas and Florida to that list.

I dont mean to hijack the thread here but I dont understand why Rutgers cant swap places with Louisville as far as being able to play for the Title.

Yeah, I know they are bloody upstarts and very questionable but I dont understand why Louisville could run the schedule and probably get into the BCS Title Game but Rutgers cant.

Im sure there are going to be good reasons but I just dont think it makes since.

But I am quietly waiting for the "Big Disaster" to happen. If Michigan beats Ohio State.

I think alot of people are going to have a hard time dropping Ohio State out of the top 2, jmot.

I actually think that if Rutgers wins out, you have a better supporting case for that then if Lousiville would have won. The way I see it, if the Cards could have beaten Rutgers, there the automatice for the Championship with the winner of OSU/Mich, assuming they could have won out (which I think would have almost been a certainty). If Rutgers goes out Blacksburg and wins, they you got a real big dilema if you the BCS. You got a team who is unbeaten, who has defeated two top 10 teams in the last couple of weeks and who has no mathamatical chance of playing for a championship. To me, that would be a better case to support your cause. Even if they lose to WV, you have a good case. If they lose, your going to have a good 5 teams or so with just 1 lose. You figure, OSU or Michigan, Florida, Texas, Auburn, WV, SC, ND and Louisville all have a very good chance to be a 1 lose team and all of those guys are major programs with major financial/booster support. All except the one who gets the chance to play for the NC is going to be pissed and calling for a playoff. IMO, Rutgers winning is the best thing that could have happened for you. JMO of course.

Louisville played Kentucky, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee State and Miami in non-conference play. For some reason that looks better than Rutgers playing North Carolina, Illinois, Ohio and Howard.

If Michigan beats OSU, I don't see any way that OSU can play for the NC. A lose early is much better then a lose late. Nobody is going to want to watch the same game played again so soon. Remember, the Big 10 doesn't have a Conference Championship game so who ever wins, wins. No chance to make up points in the polls. Who ever wins that game plays for the national championship. Who ever loses plays for nothing. Unfortunatly, Rutgers has zero chance to play regardless. They are too far back in the polls. They just can't make up enough ground regardless.

Rutgers will visit Morgantown to play West Virginia, not Blacksburg to play VaTech. It does not matter to me, but I know there are fans of both schools on this site that will jump you for making that mistake. :p:

You could be right on your theory.

Some things to remember about Brohm that I would bet some don't know.

He lost his best Running Back on the team earlier this year. A heck of a RB I might add.

He, Brohm, is coming back from an injury himself (broken thumb) and to be honest he has not looked as good since that injury.

They were playing a good team on their home turf and that team (rutgers) was PUMPED UP to upset the Cards. Just like the cards last week vs WV.

Every QB and or team can have a bad game.

Tell ESPN that or rather Dan Patrick.

He is doing his best to promote a Michigan/OSU rematch if the game is close.

I just hope OSU losses because I thinkt that stirs the most controversy :).

You have to admit it would be funny to see Rutgers battle OSU or Michigan for the title :p: .

And judging from some of the games OSU has played, I dont know that it would be a blowout like most would suspect.

I think it has more to do with where they started Josee. Louisville started something like 7th in the first BCS ranking. Rutgers was unranked. Because it's a cumulative ranking, Rutgers had no shot before they ever played a game.

I think we may see Ohio State vs Michigan in the regular season, and possibly a rematch in the National Championship as I think both of those teams are better than Texas, Auburn, Florida and any other one loss team right now.

kartr, I don't follow college football much, so I don't know who Brian Brohm is, so I looked it up on Google and saw his picture...so now I know why you have distain for that player...so typical of you...

Carry on...

I dont.

I think Texas (Florida has QB issues) is as good as OSU and Michigan even though they lost to OSU 2 weeks into the Season.

Man, if OSU beats Michigan, and Michigan still winds up playing in the NC, if I was a Longhorn I would be PO'ed.

As Longhorn fans can say, "Hey they lost to OSU just like we did, why do they get to play".

I disagree.

And Arkansas, even though they still have a tough road ahead is still on the radar screen.

And personally, they need to force conferences to start playing a CC Game.

Two different schools, two different states, and now two different conf.

Rutgers will not beat WVU this year.

And I still think who ever loses the Ohio state/michigan game is better than the other one loss teams right now.

Ohio State beat texas this year and I think Michigan can beat texas.

Sorry I know many on this board love Texas but I think Ohio State and Michigan are superior teams.

Oh and another thing.

I gurantee you USC (as much as I hate them) is capable of beating both Michigan and OSU.

I really cant see how someone can just definatively say "Michigan/OSU" is head and shoulder better than everyone else.

Heck neither team is that good and would not survive in a tougher conferance.
Big East: Cincinnati
Connecticut
Louisville Pittsburgh
Rutgers
South Florida Syracuse
West Virginia

Give me a break

West Virginia beat the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs in UGA's back yard last year. WVU pretty much returned all of their starters. There's no doubt in my mind that Rutgers and Louisville would survive in at least the SEC (although I think the SEC is consistently overrated).

I think last year's UGA team was as good as any of this year's SEC teams if not better. So if Rutgers can go out and beat Louisville and WVU, they are completely legit.

True, very true. Thanks for picking that up. Either way, I do think that it serves you better that Rutgers won last night. I guess we will see what happens.

One thing I am sure of thou, Texas and TAM get it going on the 24th. In Austin this year, I think. That might just be a pretty good game.
