So the media hates the Skins huh?

This article makes me sick with the stomach vomit.

Anyhow it have no reality on the objective of the misleadingness here inm refered. Could has been written by Snyder or his shoe shines boy lap doggy bug eyed Vinny Cerato.

They had nothing bad to say on the Skins and any inteligence type readers can see it is all just a fluff piece to make Snyder look good--

MEMO-- DEADSKINS IS THE UNDISPUTE KINGS OF THE OFF-SEASON LAST 8 YEARS AND COUNTING.

Still they hasn't wons no real titles and never they will with money grub braking the bank and spending like a drunk sailer at Missys massage and rib shack.

Let Snyder pay for his good press clippings. I'll takes my Mister Jerry Jones and Big Bill any days or nites of the week.

Wait, what are supposed to be the Commanders' areas of concern? (I'm serious)

From what I know, they have good starters, but that usually doesn't matter as much as depth.

Their depth players (except for the almighty Kenny Wright) aren't good.

They have great coordinators.

Can you guys tell me why the talks of Commanders going far hold no water, because I can't see it. (I'm not trying to defend them, I just want to know WHY we think we're better.)

The most significant concern is Brunell. Will he continue to be the same form as last year? Will he suffer injuries which he has been prone to recently and not remain healthy? Will the Commanders as a team remain as healthy as last year, where the suffered very few (if any) significant injuries.

It appears to me that the Commanders will be relying on a three wide receiver set a lot next year because they don't really have that position type receiver. Although this may be successful, if one of there starting offensive lineman goes down for any significant period of time, this could spell trouble.

There's a lot of question marks, just like there is for any NFL team. I don't think there's a question that the 'Skins can do damage. The question is whether they can go as far as what many of the media who appear to be 'Skins homers are saying.

Whenever the media posts something negative about the Skins, post it. I'd like to see it.

That's about the most favorable spin you can put on that group of players.

I'll take a stab at it. I think their secondary is weak. Archuleta is a liability, and Rogers is still learning. And the depth back there is questionable.

Do they have anyone to replace Arrington? Say what you will about his freelancing, but he was a playmaker.

Brunell's health has already been mentioned. They got better at WR, just by sheer numbers, but can all these guys mesh? Do they have a go to guy in the Red Zone? I could see them struggling throwing the ball in the Red Zone, they don't really have a possession/jump ball type guy... maybe Cooley??

And these are mostly concerns with starters... If someone goes down to an injury, they could be in trouble with their depth issues. We all know they were fortunate last year not to have any long term injuries of significance. That's pretty rare in the NFL today. I guess we'll see.

Hello folks. I'd like to clarify Commander fans' feelings on Kenny Wright. No one should really be expecting big things out of the guy, for he's not much more than a mediocre player.

We are, however, excited about this acquisition because he's a huge upgrade from Walt Harris. Harris was easily one of the worst CBs in the league last year, and he failed to perform at a position that already reeks of mediocrity (Nickel CB, not CB in general). Missing tackles whenever given the opportunity, and almost always a few steps behind his assignment, Harris was always a part of the opposing teams biggest plays.

I know Wright is no star, nor will he ever be. Shawn Springs and Carlos Rogers are our Cornerbacks, and Kenny Wright isn't more than an afterthought...but Walt Harris is a name we, as a collective fandom, were happy to put in the Commanders Graveyard.

That, my fellow CBZ posters, is why we're happy to have Kenny Wright.

This is one of the few sites I've been on that if you post a long link that has been shortened from posting on another board, it doesnt translate it automatically. You have to post the whole link from the original source, not a shortened one from another board.

just go to the browser, right click on the URL there, and hit copy, then come here, and hit paste, easy

:muttley:

Your posts are priceless.

The secondary needs to make more big plays in coverage -- the starting group combined for only eight interceptions last year. Cornerback Shawn Springs has been a solid contributor since coming over from the Seahawks; Carlos Rogers, last year's first-round pick, had a typical up-and-down season based on his draft status and inexperience. He should be the starting corner opposite Springs and a much-improved player in his second season. Also, the Commanders need to generate more pressure and sack production than a year ago, when they combined for only 35 sacks.

Which brings to mind a little song...

Opps there goes another TO....
Opps there goes another TO romp.

Kenny Wright was the starting cornerback on the Jags last season, 6th ranked pass D.

PRF?

MossBurner, Wright was the 2nd CB on the Jags last year, but they ran a zone coverage scheme so he wasn't responsible for many man to man situations. His role with the Skins is going to be much different than it was for Jacksonville.

And? Your secondary still doesnt compare to Dallas'

And Wright was the #2 to start the year, and was demoted to nickelback in favor of Terry Cousin.
