Think what you want, but the thread is completely about his injuries and salary. I love Dez as a player, and appreciate his passion and love for the game. But am frustrated that we have to go into another big game without him. And that even when he's not injured, he does not dominate the game as some top WRs do.

Did you notice that, in the same post you say it's entirely about the injuries you end with a comment about his play when he's not even injured?

I'm not trying to be contentious. I just think this Dez stuff cropping up all over is really about something else.

Very fair post.

Honestly, and I don't mean this to be smart, but I am tired of people complaining about players who get injured like it is something they wanted to have happen and they like just taking it easy on the bench!
If you read my post, it has nothing to do with his injuries.

He and Romo got hurt. If you think Dez mailed it in after getting paid, I have to question how much you know about Dez Bryant. Say what you will about his other issues, but the guy is a gamer. He's giving it everything every week.
He flat out admitted he didn't try hard in 2015.

No he didn't. He said he didn't work hard enough while holding out during the offseason.

Bryant acknowledged that he "didn't work hard enough" while holding out for a new contract last offseason...

"I believe in work," Bryant said, per the Star-Telegram. "I believe in what we do on the field and in the weight room. That’s how I get my results. If I don’t work hard, it’s going to show up. I felt that way last year. Not that I didn’t work hard, but I didn’t work hard enough. That’s why we have to turn it up a notch. I feel good. I feel real confident going into training camp."

This is why I posted in a thread a couple of weeks ago after the injury, that it was a stupid injury that was unnecessary because Dez should have just went down instead of fighting to stay on his feet.

While I appreciate the effort Dez puts forth he needs to be smart enough to know when a play is over ! Stop fighting for an Inch against the sidelines where there is nowhere to go in a game we have control over. It wasn't even near the goaline !

My point was misconstrued and I caught flack for telling a player to not fight for a yard, which was redicoulous because a smart player knows when to fight and when not to.

I got to tell you though that inch sure has helped now glad he did it ! ( I say dripping with sarcasm )

One question was the inch worth losing Dez for the amount of time we have lost him for ? If your answer is yes you need help !

True. It's an overall frustration. The injuries, the salary, the lack of elite production. Right now, I'm frustrated that he's not going to play in yet another big conference game -- that by season's end could mean the difference between playoffs or not -- because of injury. An injury that could have been avoided had he just not fought so hard for one yard and just went down/out of bounds. Again, not blaming him, because that's who he is. Just frustrated that this is where we are, again.

Close enough. Not a good look. Also, "I don't believe in work." Great comment, Dez

You guys can't be serious. Did you even watch the play? The defender was pulling him down from the side, while sliding under his leg. It wasn't a matter of Dez fighting for extra yards. It was just an awkward tackle and the defender was going to roll into Dez's leg whether he went down right away or not.

This is getting silly, people.

People say this when they only watch the highlight reels from other players.

Healthy Dez does get elite production.

Lots of fans have a distorted view of what elite is.

Even Antonio Brown had down games during his monster year. Earlier in this thread someone else quoted a bunch of stats from some of the top WR's so far this year. Perception is much different than reality.

I remember back when we'd have threads about how D Ware wasn't "clutch". Lol. Good times.

We spent too much money on a guy who can't stay healthy...

His broken foot last year was a fluke. His knee cap this year was a fluke. Neither had anything to do with his play style or durability. He was tackled awkwardly in both cases. Aside from those two injuries, he's played in 75 of 80 possible games.
