Not saying it's his fault, or that he's not tough, but the best ability is availability. And looks like he'll sit again. Guaranteeing he misses at least a quarter of this season. After all the games missed last year. We spent too much money on a guy who can't stay healthy and our coaches can't consistently figure out a way to get the ball. Frustrating.
It's an issue that was seen early for him when we drafted him.

Part of the injuries are that last year..he should not have came back so soon and it caused more setbacks.

I think he conned the team he was ready and he wasn't.

Also, during his contract issues..missed way too much TC and wasn't in shape to play.

But he played because of the contract and that was a mistake.

That is why they are not going to bring him back until he is healed and 100%.

Hopefully..that's after the bye week.

or when Romo is ready to play.

Whenever.

You are a stronger man than me, sir.

Not exaggerating. There was this idea that D Ware wasn't "clutch" (which is ridiculous in and of itself; since when are individual defenders graded on being clutch anyway?). The idea actually gained traction and was legitimately debated on here. People seriously claimed that his sacks came in either garbage time or against inferior opponents. He wasn't clutch enough.

Facepalm all you want. You must be one of those smart fans. I hope to get on your level one day.

I know it was an honest mistake, but of course I'm going to call you out for it. Maybe that makes me an a**. Anyway, Go Cowboys.

I heart Dez. So, so much. I feel so bad that our fanbase continually lambastes him.

Cut it out, guys. Let's see what happens this Sunday before we continue to cut this man down.

I've said so much on this tired topic, that's all I've got for now...

(@haleyrules, you really riled the masses in here, my brother :) )

You guys can't be serious. Did you even watch the play? The defender was pulling him down from the side, while sliding under his leg. It wasn't a matter of Dez fighting for extra yards. It was just an awkward tackle and the defender was going to roll into Dez's leg whether he went down right away or not.

This is getting silly, people.

Yes I did watch the play he was trying to not go down he always try's to stay up ! I agree it was an awkward tackle but he possible could have avoided it ( MAYBE ) by running out of bounds IMO. Look you can argue that tackle with me and I respect your viewpoint ! BUT Dez should be smarter about when to fight instead of trying to take every ball to the house just my opinion. I'm NOT saying don't fight just pick your spots better, we cannot afford to keep losing our best receiver to leg injuries. All the great WR pick there spots. I just think Dez could improve in this area !

I don't want to get in The Fray here but it seems as though the days of days leaping up in the air and coming down backwards or awkwardly are probably coming to an end.
So I guess I'm wondering he seems to have trouble getting separation and if he can't go up and come down with the ball without being injured how effective will he be?

You are not built like a running back. You tried to fight off linebackers and multiple Defenders you're going to come away injured. Go down when things are too bad don't fight it.

When was he ever injured while going up for the ball? Why would we assume that's an issue?
