So, What Happens If Suisham Misses a Short FG

In the spirit of the season, I say, we don't become negative. We all reach out to our fellow man and express our sincere gratitude for his effort. We forgive, we embrace and we move on.

Then we shoot him.

Lock and loaded with a strong disdain for kickers, where do I sign up?

I think the same thing that happens if he makes one. The next time you are in position and 3 points benefit you, you trot him out. Gramatica missed his first one with us a few years back and I think one that very same game at the end of it.

Unfortunately the passion you and others carry against the kicker does not seem to be shared by all for other positions (WR comes to mind). Not saying you are one of those, but in general there seems to be a lot of hate for the kicker, but thats a pretty high pressure job...and if anyone could kick those things it wouldn't be such an issue, you know? Heck, our kickoff specialist is so bad at kicking accurately he can't even be counted on when Folk was clearly not right.

When I played on Teams, that crossed my mind but you will never get a shot on them because they know that many would kill to give them an out of body experience.

I don't understand kickers and smoking. Friends of mine that went on to play at different colleges said the same thing.

I really hope that Susy works out, I am hoping more that Susy won't be a factor because our team is dominating.
I never took the shot I wanted because they were never coming my way attempting to make a tackle. I ended up blocking someone else.

Part of me doesn't even want to think about this, but realistically, we have to. I don't believe in jinxes.

He missed 3 field goals this season and 2 were at Cowboys Stadium. He was 2 for 4 there. Does he have a problem kicking in our stadium?

Oh sure, make me paranoid now.

Oh, you mean like the 23 yarder he missed against New Orleans that allowed them to come back and win the game?

Why dont we just have Buehler work on his FG's? We have two kickers. We only need one.

I can't help but wonder what happens if Suisham comes in for a 35 yarder and yips it? We've already looked at the Kicker, the holder, and auditioned and found a new Kicker. What do we do if he doinks FGs too?

I don't think you can blame the snaps. They are dead money back to the holder. It isn't the blocking.

I think Folk's yips are from the surgery. I never had a lot of faith in Suisham when he was here before. I do like that he has kicked at Fed Ex for the last 3 years.

He was waived because he doinked a chip shot.

I just friggin' hate Kickers. We find one we all think we can rely on and he sticks a shiv in our backs.

If we are going to play the what if game what if he misses a short one early in the game but hits a game winner at the end? Like most I'm a bit uneasy about our FG kicking but for the most part Suisham has done a good job this season if you look at his overall precentage and from 40 to 49 he is 5 for 5.

Merry Christmas and welcome to the C.R.A.P. club ;)
Merry Christmas to you, and I don't think anything like you guys. So I doubt you want me in your club. I pay attention to the players and coaches. That is strictly forbidden in CRAP.

:D

we cut him and go get carney

Negative. Carney was resigned today as a "kicking consultant" for the Saints. I'm not sure what his responsibility will be with that title (lol) but he is off the market.

If he is not on their roster he is still on the market. You may not be able to hire him as a consultant but he would be free to sign as a kicker if he chooses to

hmmm... well it's good to know that option is still there.

If that happens, we just go 2007 New England on everyone and just go for it on 4th down, and go for 2 on TDs.

By the way, does any one have a picture or clip of when Larry Allen mugged Jose Cortez after a missed FG?

That was awesome!
