So who failed conditioning test?

Woicik doing big things in Dallas just like we were told he would. Biggest offseason acquisition for us.

Garrett says Holmes, Felix and Pool will be doing "remedial running" until they can pass the conditioning test and return to practice.
That has to be pretty embarrassing for them. Definitely not a good look for Pool who four months ago was claiming he was coming here with something to prove.

so thats 20, 60 yard sprints? correct?

That would be pretty much full out sprints for the OL....40 yds in 6 secs. Times 20? Most of those guys run 5.0 plus at the combine for a single 40 yard sprint.

Seems like the semis and speed guys don't have it as hard.

PFT is reporting as 60 yards in 8 sec - but nothing about the reps or anything. their story makes it look like felix couldn't run 60 yards in 8 seconds one time!! I knew that was BS

NFL Network was just talking about it.. said it was 2 sets of 10 60 yard sprints in 8 secs.. 30 second break between each sprint and 2 minute break after first 10.

wow so this is making national news?

The NFL Network carries live training camp coverage all day every day throughout camp. Of course it's national news.

The NFL has officially gone over the top.

Wow. That is an epic fail on all of them...

Holmes - the experiment should be over. He should have been cut as soon as he failed. No excuse for a player who has never proven anything. Good Bye.

Felix - entitlement must be creeping in...he should be put on notice...can the Cowboys fine him? He performed poorly last year and now this...might need to consider letting him go or trading him.

Pool - you come to a new team and then fail simple conditioning test. Put on notice and cut if fails second time. Fine him...this is unacceptable.

Cut Homes and Fine Felix & Pool. Send a message to the team!!!

Um the message has been sent and cutting them servers no purpose but over reaction. Even Big Bill was smart enough to realize that cutting them now is stupid.

They have now been embarrassed, they are now behind in practice, missing valuable reps. Sometimes for a young guy they do not realize it and they have to learn from it the biggest sin imo is from the vets they should know better.

Cutting these guys and adding some scrubs off the street doe snot make the team better or competition better. Now when it comes down to cut time and things are close then this will be a factor and should be a factor in the equation.

!

Or they might consider that he just got cleared for workouts following shoulder surgery. That's sorta relevant.

By sending a serious message to the team, they would be better in the long run. By doing nothing you encourage the behaviour.

Too many of these young guys feel "entitled" so they do not take their job seriously. Ogletree is another guy I would consider cutting at the end of camp. They take up too much coaching time for no return.... I don't think these guys are the "right kind of guys" that Garrett talks about.

Excellent post. So tired of this kind of B.S. These guys don't want it bad enough.

I've heard from people I respect that Ogletree took a very serious approach to the offseason, and that he's better than he's ever been. His brother was shot, and it is said to have really affected him.

Take that for what it's worth, but I'm interested to see if there's a difference.

He will have to earn his spot on the team nothing is being handed to him if he makes the team it is because he practiced hard and played well in the preseason.

If he was cleared by the doctors to do the conditioning test, then he should have been prepared to take it and pass it. He was not running on his shoulder...so his legs should have been okay.
