Romo CHOKED for 10 seasons. Most all of you didn't complain about that. You just loved that chokeness.
It would be nice to hire a competent coach and let him pick his staff and let that coaching staff make the decision on Dak. But IF Jerry does fire Garrett he will also force whatever assistants he wants onto the new coach thus we’ll still be screwed. And Jerry will also force Dak onto the new coach thus tying his hands and sealing his fate before he even coaches a single game.
What I want is Lincoln Riley to coach dak next year. See if they can make it work. Otherwise I want the Alabama QB next year when he is eligible.I ask this..
If not DAK..
then who?
Are you really going to trust this team to find your next QB and actually develop him?
They were unable to get Romo there after nearly 10+ years.
They then failed to have a replacement ready in Weeden who they had for 2 years.
Then the parade of QB in 2015..
NOTHING.
And remember..
we tried to trade up for Paxton Lynch before Denver took him.
We all know what happened to Lynch.
We do not know what we are doing.
Before we solve the QB thing..
we have to redo the consortium of failed QBs masquerading as qualified experts.
Keller Moore has to go as does Linehan and Sanjay.
Since we do not have a #1 draft pick in 2019..
that means 2020 before we hae the pick to use on a QB.replacement.
FA could be an answer.
But again..
I highly doubt we have the staff in place to make that work.
And that means more delays while our OL is rebuilt.
Time will slip away.

if we are not gonna let the new coach....if there is one....pick his QB,then why bother to make any change at all.
if the new guy is allowed...then by all means...sign your vet f/a or draft your guy.
no...I don't trust this staff....or #4.....at all.
SCORCHED.
EARTH.
new H.C/new Staff...they decide on QB.

I am with you.
DAK now needs competition for his job
He has had none.
Dak deserves a chance with real coaching like everyone else.
What top guys did we miss out on that are doing so great?I ask this..

Winston and Lynch and Bortles maybe available. What top guys did we miss out on that are doing so great?
Sam Darnold....Josh Rosen....Josh Allen.... Jameis Winston...Blake Bortles....Johnny Manziel
Baker Mayfield.... Paxton Lynch....Brock Osweiler....Derk Carr....MMariota.... RGIII.....Trubisky
Where was this when we drafted him?Does this look familiar? Dak's scouting report out of college:
Weaknesses
- Inconsistency mars almost every aspect of his game, especially mechanically
- Rocks back with a slight hitch in his delivery when putting zip on the ball
- Can wind up with longer release when going down the field
- Tendency to release the ball a tad early, resulting in a sailing or fluttering pass
- Needs to vary the pace of the ball to match the situation/route (no bullets on screens)
- Location and accuracy are generally poor, makes receivers adjust to off-target balls and minimizes yards after catch
- Makes very poor decisions at times, forces passes into coverage
- Footwork can get sloppy, will fall off his base throwing to his left, loses accuracy/velocity
- Doesn’t possess the heralded “power arm” that he was once rumored to have
- Deep ball accuracy is lacking, touch passing needs a compass
- Does not throw with anticipation, poor timing leads to late throws to all areas of the field
- Can be confused and fooled by more intricate coverage schemes (ex. Alabama’s pattern reading)
- Lacks accuracy and velocity when throwing on the move
- Not a great athlete, heavy-footed and lacking lateral quickness and explosiveness as a runner
Where was this when we drafted him?
We never drafted him to immediately start.
He was supposed to be a project that needed time.
Lets skip over that partDoes this look familiar? Dak's scouting report out of college:

We don’t need the answer to pursue options in the draft or free agency.I ask this..

I really don't know.Yes this is when he came out of college. It's been 3 years for this "project" and I don't see any improvement... Do you? Actually, the "project" has regressed. Time to move on...
I think we did.Lets skip over that part
