lol! Felix "Killa Cat" Jones seems to be breakin necks and cashin checks.

Also, Williams running out was the correct call. The risk wasn't worth the benefit of an additional 2 or 3 yards.

You pick your fights, a broken tackle there would not have lead to anything worth the risk especially with sore ribs.

Sig worthy, lol.

when i saw it, i had no problems with it because he was about to get clobbered for no reason. maybe another 1 to 2 yards if he stays in bounds and gets killed. he already had the first. now if that 1 or 2 yards meant converting a 3rd into a 1st I would hope he would have stayed in bounds and fought for the extra yardage.

They talked about this on the lunch break show a little bit ago. They didn't care for it either. IMO, if his ribs are still bothering him, then fine, otherwise, bad move.

This.

My gripe on Roy is when he tips the ball up when he cant get the catch. He did that twice. For instance the one in the end zone, there was no way he was going to pull that ball in and he decided to try to get a hand on it. Samuels could have easily INT'd it if he was looking for the ball.

No, he wouldn't have. Samuel was too busy holding Roy Williams left arm, which is why RW made an attempt to one hand the ball.

The refs missed it completely.

Surprised that didn't draw a flag considering how "flag happy" the officiating crew was.

what i see is the opportunity for a stiff arm and and a few more yards...
if he was a yard or two from the end zone he would have gone for the TD instead of stepping out of bounds and I want to see him give the same kind of effort on this play.

on the side...it was nice to see him get involved

on that play There are 4 guys bearing down on him. And they ain't checking to see how he's doing. Besides how many times has there been a fumble because the runner was trying to make extra yards.

good point adbutcher. Like WG, I was a little disappointed in Williams running out of bounds rather than try to break a tackle. But I did not consider his previous injury troubles.

It is no different then catching the ball in the middle of the field and hitting the deck before getting decked.

That is a good point. I never looked at it like that.l

Did yall totally forget about the Carolina game???

Almost the exact same play, Felix was going down the sideline and decided to stay in bounds and he got injured on the play. I would much rather Roy run out of bounds and live to fight another play then try to prove how macho he is and get hurt.

I want to believe he was off-balance and falling out. But my eyes are telling me he avoided contact when a swat/stiff arm might've been in order.

Oh, the ribbs again. That was how many weeks ago?

Only a stupid player would play hurt and if his ribs were imperiled.
Is RW stupid?

No he is not which is why he gained what he could and avoided taking a big hit that would not have produces much more yardage. No one wants to make the jacked up highlight reel when they are the ones about to get jacked up.

It looked to me like he lost his balance and drifted out of bounds.

I didn't think much of it until someone brought it up.

If it was to get in the endzone, or even get a first down, i would have loved for him to stay in bounds. But in this situation, i believe he made the right choice.

Roy had a big gain, got the first and when he stepped out there were FOUR Eagles right there. He wasn't going to gain hardly anything more. Killing yourself for an extra yard isn't smart unless it's the endzone or you're going for a first. Don't get yourself killed after a big play. Seriously, would it be worth it for Roy to take on those 4 eagles for 1-3 extra yards?
