I don't really fault him for it that much, but still......I like to see football players play tough and fight for every yard...So it was kinda disappointing to see this

I thought he made a reasonable decision after making a nice catch and run for the 1st down and more. I would've hated to see him "nut hustling" for two or three more yards and get hurt. The thing is, even when he makes a play he's getting criticized. Very few receivers drop their head and plow forward in that circumstance.

I like that he showed up last night. The Mike Irvin imitation after every play was a little over the top for a WR who finally made some plays but heh........

I think it's silly to stay in bounds just to "be tough" when there's nothing to gain from it. Why risk a fumble or an injury without any potential reward? Check out Ryan Moats vs. the Colts yesterday if you don't think you can lose a fumble that close to the sideline.

What if Roy got blasted on the play and gotten himself injured for the remainder of the season? I bet the criticisms would be coming from the other side. "Why didn't he just step outta bounds!?!?"

Look how close Roy was to the sideline. How was he supposed to break the tackle and keep his balance without being forced out of bounds by the hard-charging LB?

Smart decision there to step out of bounds. Especially since his ribs probably aren't 100% yet.

Even T.O., who had an insatiable thirst for YAC opportunities, would occasionally duck out of bounds when he saw that there was no potential for extra yardage.
