C'mon people, let it go already.
Yep. It's a sad situation; there will be no winner(s).Romo_To_Dez;4520500 said:We will never truly know if Zimmerman attacked first and if Trayvon defended himself. If Zimmerman gets off than Trayvon's family will feel like their sons life didn't matter or that justice was not served.
Zimmerman will not be able to go back to the life that he had before either way even if he gets off he'll have to be in hiding for a while because of some of the death threats out there
Romo_To_Dez;4520527 said:I haven't read through the whole thread so I apolgize if this was already brought up. But on the STand Zimmerman said that he didn't know how old Trayvon was and thought that he was only a little younger than he was, but on the 911 tape Zimmerman states that Trayvon was in his late teens.
So either GZ forgot about what he said or he's just lying to cover himself because he knows that people are upset over a young person getting killed.
Can they use this in the trail?
daboyzruleperiod;4520762 said:Good point. But then again, GZ could of called 911 after he got a good look at Trayvon. The whole mess is out of control, too much media yet once again.
It's sad to hear the Martin family wasn't appreciative on GZ's apology.
Natalie Jackson, one of the family's attorneys, said the apology was "insulting to the family...This is the most unmeaningful apology we've ever seen in our entire lives."
Now, if GZ hadn't apologized, what would they of said then? Seems like a catch 22.

Had he had his gun drawn the whole time there never would have been an altercation, Martin almost certainly didnt realize he had a gun until or immdiately prior to being shot.

The Sanford city commission rejected the resignation of the police chief criticized for the way he handled the Trayvon Martin case.
The resignation was rejected Monday by a 3-2 vote, with the majority blaming outsiders for the recent uproar. City commissioners said they want to wait for the results of a federal investigation to decide if they will accept Chief Bill Lee's resignation, which could take months.
"The city commission spoke," city manager Norton Bonaparte said. "They were not ready to have the resignation. So we'll move forward."

this is still very emotional and a decision like this shouldn't be made in a time like this, imho anyway.

And you're not biased towards this source, are you?
iceberg;4521532 said:and you're not biased by saying zimmerman chased martin swinging his gun around either, are you?
maybe i am biased to this source because he has 30+ years of experience in dealing with the police on matters such as this.
so yea, i'll take his word over yours unless you can show more credibility.
so far i've not taken EITHER side, i'm just waiting for the full story to get out and not shoving a 1/2 baked opinion around like it's gospel. i did that early on and was wrong in doing so.
zrinkill;4521526 said:I am glad some people in that town are not rushing to judgement.
CowboyMcCoy;4521534 said:The bondsman guy?
And where did I say he chased him, swinging his gun around?
Please point that out.

Reminds me of the ol' opposite, "you can't quit, you're fired!".
