Dang.
I was in the minority that was still high on this kid even after his poor workout and hoped we could get him w/ a second day pick.

He was very solid against CJ and played at a high level in the ACC. He may be better suited in a cover 2, but he can cover. He is not slow either...people act like 4.5 is slow...how does Anthony Henry cover anyone then?CoachHodnett;1549640 said:I disagree. I wouldn't call him a "cover" corner. He is more of a Zone CB or a Trail CB. Putting him in the Nickle may not be best idea when the defense is in Man Coverage because he is rather slow and teams put faster Receivers in the slot.
However, with Cotrell running that Defense, I would expect him to see a lot of time on the outsides in passing situations playing in a short to medium zone. He does have good ball skills.

abersonc;1549534 said:it was the dime package and he was STARTING there because that is the package that moves Roy to a LB position. That's not about finding a way to get him on the field that's about getting Roy closer to the line.
Makes sense...he can play behind Ogden and possibly be an option at RT down the road. Both selections today were wise by the teams.abersonc;1549646 said:Gaither round 5 to the Ravens

Gaither is gifted athletically...none of those guys are LT candidates, so they may be grooming him as a Ogden replacement.abersonc;1549655 said:Why a team that has spent recent picks on Adam Terry at T (2nd), Jason Brown C/G (4th), Chris Chester C/G (2nd), Ben Grubbs G/T (1st), and Marshal Yanda G/T (3rd) is beyond me.
Where are they going to get all the roster space for these guys?
Why aren't they going to sit back and see give guys a chance to develop?

And the truth, shall set you free.stasheroo;1549661 said:Considering that they lost Tony Pashos, their starting RT and almost had Ogden, their starting LT retire, they're throwing as much as they can into finding their replacements.
We'll have to wait and see if they made the right moves.
Dude, they've drafted 2 tackles in the past 9 years, one of which isn't even on the team any more. They've got an aging starter and have been playing a guard at tackle (Yanda) because they needed the depth.abersonc;1549655 said:Why a team that has spent recent picks on Adam Terry at T (2nd), Jason Brown C/G (4th), Chris Chester C/G (2nd), Ben Grubbs G/T (1st), and Marshal Yanda G/T (3rd) is beyond me.

abersonc;1549668 said:and we've drafted 3 tackles, all have been mentioned as potentially playing inside.
and when you start to talk about guys moving inside you know their prospects at T aren't so hot.
