For those dogging Wade recently and citing Mike Singletary's coaching approach as their argument...

did you happen to see Singletary's performance today?
His defense was getting dogged so he calls a random early timeout to pep them up/chew them out. They respond by giving up a 40 yard TD to Roddy White immediately afterward. They also would need that timeout he wasted, at the end of the half. In addition, Josh Morgan strolled a gimme TD at a lazy pace and was caught from behind before scoring. They ultimately gave up 210 yards and 2 TDs to Roddy White AND 3 TDs to Michael Turner, losing 45-10 at home.

Just some perspective. If you're gonna cry about the greener grass elsewhere, just make sure and take note when said grass turns brown and wilted.

A week ago they were everybody's "best defense in the NFL because of Singletary".

Now they're "Pat Willis and a bunch of scrubs".

Wade and Singletary are polar opposites. Wade tries to use his head and be more of a cerebral coach (ehhhh)...Singletary is a fireball who lets emotion dictate how he coaches. They both have pros and cons.

BUT the flaws in those two show exactly why a guy with a controlled intensity (cough cowher cough) makes such a good coach.

thats on the players man. I have no problem with a coach doing what he did to try and fire up his players. The coach can only do so much to where its up to the players to respond. The point is I'd rather have a coach at least attempt to lead and motivate his players than sit on the sidelines constantly looking dumb founded. For heaven sakes Campo was showing more emotion on the sidelines than phillips was.

The Dallas Cowboys just needed OT to beat one of the bottom three teams in the league after they had 139 penalties and had to have their third WR come up with a 250 yard receiving performance in order to win.

The defense which is run by Wade Phillips once again folded in the last two minutes to allow one of the worst offenses in the NFL who was missing their two starting OT's to drive down the field and score the game tying TD on a 4th down play.

And you have the balls to come up with a thread trying to tell the fans that we should be happy Wade is the head coach here because we could have someone worse?

:lmao:

Yeah, those four offsides in one defensive series were just great. I'm now looking for FSF to replicate this for the offense.

Just some perspective back atcha...
  • The Niners are doing plenty with far less talent.
  • The Boys are doing nothing with immense talent.

Just as the shills will claim these early Cowboy games are aberrations and you can't discount a team only 5 games in, the same goes for San Fran. One Game. Got it? Good.

No need to fire Wade. All is well in VR. blah blah blah. If wanting to extract the spineless jellyfish is considered premature then you bet trying to criticize Singletary over one bad game is inanely ridiculous. ;)

Bleu Star,

YOU ARE RIGHT ON 100%. This team has the same personality as their coach ...... until they change the coach, they will remain underachievers. Wade stands on the sidelines in an absolute stupor ..... I really think the game is going about 3 times faster than he can think.

You're right. At least for the next seven days as short sighted as this board tends to be. You know how that is. Dallas LOST to Denver. But Denver BEAT the Pats. It's whatever angle you look at it.

I agree, for all the hollering he did and taking that timeout that would cost them later so he could holler at the defense (by the way it did no good since they turned around and gave up a TD on that series anyways) His team played stupid you had Bly acting like Deion after an int only to get the ball knocked out because he was show boating this is disapline instilled by the mighty Singletary?

Did I forget to metion Dre Bly immitating Deion during his INT and thus getting chased down, tackled and fumbling, giving the ball back to ATL?

Such discipline. Such focus.

The Niners have accomplished just as much as we have. Three victories.
