Let's take a close look at that 2006 postseason, the one in which Peyton "earned your respect". Look at Peyton's numbers in those first 3 playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl.
Pretty crappy.
1 TD, 3 INTs, 71.9 QB rating in a win over Kansas City.
0 TDs, 2 INTs, 39.6 QB rating in a win over Baltimore.
1 TD, 1 INT (it was a pick six), 79.1 QB rating in a win over New England.
So how exactly did he "earn your respect"? By playing poorly and winning thanks to his defense?
