We need an unlike or down vote button.
You need an adjustment. We just enjoyed a wonderful year with this bunch of stiffs and our future could not look brighter. You should find a different team, my friend. We don't need fans like you. Crawl back under your rock and slither out when the sun is shinning.

Needing to get this off my chest here.

I've thought all year this team had a special feel. The energy of the rookies and the rejuvenated vets. The defense in the regular season somehow making plays when we needed them. Things seemed to be lining up for the Cowboys toward a destiny resembling the 90s dynasty. I want to be positive and tell myself the future is bright but all I can think about are the countless devastating losses for the past 20 years.

I'm 30 years old. I was 7 in 93' when I begged my parents for a Cowboys starter jacket and became a fan. I was too young to realize how rare and special that era was. My life as a Cowboys fan where I've truly understood the game has been filled with disappointment and angst. I can't help but look on the future with a doubtful eye because that's all I have to fall back on.

This loss in particular has crushed me. I don't know that I've ever felt the kind of gutted feeling over football as I did last night. So what makes this team different than the recent past? How do we become one of those teams to always contend with, one that makes the playoffs every year as opposed to once in a great while? We often times seem to "have the talent" but consistently fall short. I want to feel optimistic that this is the start of a new era for the Cowboys but I'm finding it tough.

Help me out here.
You were 12-4 in 2014. You were 13-3 this season.

You didn't have any type of QB in 2015.

So maybe '15 was an outlier and this team is actually the type of team you hope they are!

I do think this team needs the offseason mind state of we have to grind harder to get what we want, not the they'll roll out the ball next season and we'll be right back because we have talent attitude. I believe that hurt us in 2008 and 2015 to a degree.

If Dak is who I think he is(mental makeup), he'll push his guys to work harder and not to expect greatness to fall from the sky. It's his team now. I think he takes a great leap next season!#MVPSTATUS

Brace yourself. We don't have the talent. We never did. We have a collection of stiffs on defense. When half your team is garbage and your offense is led by a rookie QB you shouldn't expect to talent your way to a title.

I don't agree with the rookie QB part. I don't know what more Dak could've showed yesterday or this entire season to prove he's the real deal. I don't even think Romo could've led us to that comeback yesterday. We fell into a 21-3 hole yesterday because 1) our defense is awful, 2) our coach is afraid to set the tone, and 3) we're full of losers (Williams, Butler) who don't know how to respond to pressure. But Dak was excellent yesterday. So was Zeke. As long as we have those two guys and this O-line, we'll be competitive. I just hope we don't waste his career by continuing to run with a defensive coordinator who doesn't think anyone with talent fits his scheme, or a head coach who needs years of being criticized (not running enough, not managing clock) before attempting to change. Doesn't help that we have Jerry as GM. I think the leadership of this organization will continue to haunt us. But Dak is the real deal.

13-3 and no loss by more than 3 points, except for a throw away game in Philadelphia.

A 'rook' QB that ranked top five as to throwing stats and a 'rook' that led the NFL in rushing yardage, by quite a bit.

A really tough defense with better talent would make losing a lot harder for the Cowboys.

Fixed it for ya, CCBoy.

The problem is with the defense.

Not the QB.

The key is to consistently go to the playoffs, at that point it becomes a lottery depending on your injuries and the officiating. If you show up consistently the planets will align every once in a while. The hard part is being willing to accept the BS that will often happen to your team. I have a hard time justifying my interest lately.

Rather lose now than lose in the Super Bowl. Let's face it, we were not beating Brady/Belichick. If Rodgers could do this in one week without Jordy Nelson, give Brady/Belichick two weeks to prepare for our defense and it would have been too humiliating

I can't say next year will be as good or better than this year was. Nobody can.

Because that depends on decisions that have yet to be made. We have a ton of DBs that are UFA to decide upon. Plenty of role player UFAs like TW to consider. We don't yet know what will happen with Romo or who our backup QB will be. We don't yet know who we will be able to get in the draft. We don't know if Jaylon Smith will return and be anything like he was at Notre Dame. We don't know if Dak will be able to replicate the success he's had this season, next season (1 season is a very small sample size).

You have to figure our schedule will be tougher next year than it was this year. Sooooo................

It really is a year to year league. Excluding the Patriots, of course. LOL!!!

we need a strong DE, bottom line. And he has to be vetted, no more of these RKG's, none of these, projects, injury history. A good solid DE who has 1 job, kill the qb. Nothing like Ware where he has to do to many things. 1 player, 1 job.

something else no one is taking up. Gotta exploit the other teams weaknesses. So many times this team just wants to play nice. No more. kill kill kill.

I rather get to the Superbowl and lose instead of being kicked out again the divisional round.
Cause, lately, that seems to be this teams ceiling, no matter the coaches or players.

That rookie QB led the team to the best record in the NFC and took the hottest team in the NFL to the brink, it's time to retire your Dak drivel.
