so wait unti he;s a UFA? lol no thanks

he is under contract next season and after that he is still under contract, though it is voidable.

To recap = contract until 2009, when he can void.

wrong again

7/23/2003: Signed a seven-year, $33.4 million contract. The deal included a $6.5 million signing bonus and contains $13.1 million in guarantees. 2007: $1,138,667, 2008: $1,416,417 (voidable year), 2009: $1,694,165, 2010: Free Agent

I don't care what Rotoworld says. Adam and everything else I've read says it isn't voidable until the final year.

For example: http://espn.go.com/nfl/columns/pasquarelli_len/1585174.html

" The blockbuster deal is for seven years and worth $33 million. Newman can void the final year of the contract. Between the initial signing bonus and the second-tier option bonus, Newman will earn $13,000,100 in upfront money."

I'm pretty sure that if it was voidable next season, you would be hearing quite a bit more talk about extending him.

Not trying to be funny - but Dallas is in Central Time Zone.

Which means it's 6:37 there, leaving about 5 hours now.

it's for us east coast cats ;)

No. It would be smart to do it next season.

I'm hoping for crayton or hamlin.

Yeah lets throw big cheese at a 4.6 WR who is almost 30 when Hamlin, TNew, Canty and the Barbarion have to be signed still....

Get a clue guys...

Tnew and Canty are still under contract for next season, and Barber is a RFA. That leaves Hamlin and Crayton as the only UFA starters.

And that 4.6 speed WR has contributed pretty well to getting us to this nice record we are looking at.
