Outside of his first season with the Cowboys, I can't see that he was anything but a highly paid 'bust'- because he spent more time on the sidelines than in the games.
And, I can't stand the way he set T.O. up in 2006 on National Television for his interview when T.O. spit in D'Angelo Hall's face. Deion set T.O. up by quesioning him on national television, and he's the reason T.O. got fined.
He claimed he loved T.O. like a little brother, and then offered him up as a sacrifice for his ratings on the NFL network.
Hall was a crybaby, and Deion helped him distract attention from the fact that T.O. ate his lunch all night.
And, Deion seems to think that he is one of the most loved Cowboys ever- when he gave us one decent year, and got a ring in return for it.
As far as I can see, Dallas doesn't owe him anything- and I wish he'd quit acting like he's a Cowboy- when his pass interference against Irvin knocked us out of the third Super Bowl in a row, and we had to come back the next year.
But for all of his hype, I still see Deion Sanders as a Falcon/49'er who came here and helped for one year-which is probably why he sat on both sides of the fence when he helped D'Angelo Hall cover for the whipping he took at the hands of T.O.
Just a rant. It's the off season.

I thought it was an excellent marketing strategy by a college kid.
If you look at his production, his interceptions diminished after the first year here.
To me- and this is my opinion only- he never achieved after his first year here in Dallas.
But, I don't deny his ability. I don't deny he knows the game.
It's just a personal issue I have with some of the things he's said in commentary, and especially the deal with T.O..

Bingo! Same ole leeblair. I have seen this act before fellas and its only the begginning.theogt;2137036 said:Deion is a Cowboy.

BuckyG;2137072 said:"It's just a personal issue." I think that says it all, particularly when you say "he never achieved after his first year in Dallas." After his first year in Dallas: four straight Pro Bowls, three consecutive first-team consensus All Pro awards. Of course his interceptions went down while in Dallas--nobody would throw his way.
Sanders is, arguably, the best cover corner in the history of the league, Inarguably, he's at minimum in the top three corners who ever laced up. Just for the record, run us out some highlights of how many times he was burned for TDs while in Dallas.
I know somebody here--AdamJT13, perhaps?--has access to stats regarding how many times opponents threw at Sanders during his years in Dallas. If it can be shown that his relatively low INT totals were NOT related to how few times opponents threw at him, I'll be happy to eat my words and accept your premise that he was a worse corner in Dallas than before he became a Cowboy.

And, for the record, everyone knows that Deion making the pro-bowl was virtually automatic the last two or three years- but his stats didn't necessarily back it up.
And, guys- for the record- a troll is a fan of another team that comes in and hijacks threads and tries to disrupt a forum just for the fun of it.
It's amazing how many people will hijack a thread- and call someone else the troll.................Pot- meet kettle.

By the way, I trhink it says a lot for Jerry how well TO has done here and how Deion wants Dallas to be considered his team. Jerry really makes his stars feel at home and comfortable and in the end they really pay him back .

But I loathe Deion Sanders more than any athlete in the history of sports. The day he was off our roster was a great day.
