...if we don't turn the ball over, we win. Now this week might be different because th4 Giants are the arguably the best team we've faced, but I'll stick to my prediction.

lmao! who said I played QB or not?? I, like 99% of the non-HOMERs can see that Brad Johnson SUCKS. I don't support a player totally just because they have a star on their helmet. I try to be more objective than that. Don't get me wrong, I'll root for them but I'm not afraid to criticize if they don't play well.

Who needed to say you played qb or any other position...fact remains your sitting at a computer typing about the NFL instead of in a film room like the rest of us. Well then thats your prerogative

All of last week Zoners were saying that the Cowboys were going to get demolished by the Bucs. Some Zoners were predicting a blow out, they said this was the beginning of the end of our season. Some were even saying that Jeff Garcia was going to frustrate us with his scrambling but our D-Line pretty much kept him in check.

This game looks gloomy as well but I believe that our team is good enough to overcome adversity to keep us afloat until some of big time players return back to offense and defense.

GO COWBOYS!

This is something I have been thinking about. We did keep Garcia in check. I, for one, think Garcia is as good, if not better than Eli. It maybe that I just hate the Giants, but Garcia has won where ever he went.

Maybe, if our D can play as well as it did against Garcia, it can stop the "Unstoppable" Eli Manning.

He isn't accurate over 5 yards.

First it was 20 yards.

Then 15.

Then 10.

Now 5 yards, over which BJ cannot hit the wide side of a barn.

By the end of regulation of the G'ints game, it will be widely known:

Brad Johnson can't even piss a straight line into a urinal.

The O-line will allow the gints to murder BJ, then Bollinger comes in and we win by 2pts...

After a performance like that, Someone in Brad Johnson's family should step up and push him towards retirement. Preferably his wife if she really LOVES him.

I can't remember a game in which I held less hope of winning. Maybe all the way back to 1989.

Injuries:

Offense

Defense

Spencer

That is 8 impact players. And, I am probably forgetting someone.

Please tell me how we have a chance this week against the Giants. Especially with Johnson under center.

I hear Brooks will most likely take over per Jerry's "request"...

We have a chance because...

-- Roy and TO can still make big plays, even on balls that aren't particularly thrown well. If we can read their blitzes correctly, we might get them one-on-one a couple of times and see what happens.

-- Martellus Bennett has huge-time skills. Yes, he's very raw and will make mistakes, but he's athletic and talented enough to make plays on any linebacker in the league.

-- Our D got a lot of confidence from this game. If they start to believe in themselves, look out.

-- Brandon Jacobs is due to get hurt.

-- If the Giants get too cocky in testing our young corners, they might get burned. Like Bennett, Scandrick and Jenkins have a lot of talent. Even Ball has some talent. They'll make mistakes, but they can also make plays that even Henry can't make.

-- The Giants might take us lightly. Laugh at that because we're a division opponent, but it could happen. They just beat one of the best teams in the league on the road, and you know they're going to look at Brad Johnson's game film and laugh. They might think like we did for a while there, that a wounded opponent is going to come in and we're so much better we're going to easily stomp them out. That's a dangerous attitude to have against anyone.

If ever there was a week for gimmick plays , this is it . Pull out all the stops ! HB pass , flea flicker , end around , WR option , surprise on side kick , fake punt , fake FG , RB direct snap . Take the ball out of BJ's hands .

I think if they could pull off a couple of these , play solid defense , play solid special teams , no penalties , and not turn the ball over , they have a chance .

I'd also say that they have got to get Tashard Choice involved in some plays . Give them a different look that they haven't seen on film . They are going to kill barber if they don't lighten up his load a little .

If our defense shows up again, stops the run, and puts some consistant pressure on Eli we've got a good shot of winning.

The thing that isn't being talked about, cause it's fun to piss on the Cowboys right now, is that the Giants aren't playing exactly wonderful football the last three weeks.

They got destroyed by Cleveland, got by San Fran and did so cause San Fran turned the ball over, and then got helped out GREATLY by Pittsburgh turning the ball over numerous times.

If both of those teams eliminate their turnovers there is a very, very, very good shot that both of those teams could have beaten the Giants.

Now I'll give the Giants their props for making those turnovers and staying around but if we can play a game similiar to the one we played yesterday we can actually pull off a W here this week.

We have a chance. Dallas can't afford to do things to hurt themselves such as turnovers or many penalties. If they can keep the score down then I think they have a shot at beating the Giants. I also think having one of the better FG kickers in the league can pay off big if we can keep the score down and give ourselves a chance in the 4th qrt.

If we win the turnover battle (which isn't that out of reach if we just put Eli into some bad situations), and maybe get a special teams touchdown... BJ can manage our team to victory.

Any Cowboys fan that's realistic has to know that it's going to be tough, but who knows?

I will say and I've been saying that it's going to come down to the 7 games after the bye. If we ARE worth a damn, a 6-1 or even a 7-0 run is very possible and frankly, the only recourse. But isn't that what we all wanted -- an end of the year run?

In all honesty, I doubt we can beat the Giants without Romo.

BUT, we can pull of a big upset IF

1. We can control the Giants running game, esp with Jacobs. That would be my top priority on Defense.

2. We have to continue to be aggressive on Defense with various blitz packages, etc. That may be the best way to hide some of our Secondary injuries in any case. (Heck, that's what the Giants do.)

3. We have to win the turnover battle. That means we have to hold on to potential Ints! And manage not to commit any key turnovers ourselves.

4. We have to somehow win the Special Teams battle. We're still having problems in that department.

6. We able to take advantage of the Giants blitz packages with gains to TO and RW at least a couple times during the game.

7. Somehow establish some sort of running game with the opposing defense knowing B Johnson doesn't pose much of a threat.

Of course, this is a lot to ask for.

How'd you manage to record the game in DC with no DirecTV?

That's a pic from the St. Louis game, which was broadcast here. I watch HD games on my computer via a HD USB tuner and indoor antenna.

Hope?

This is the same fan base that said, "Rest Romo. It's only the Rams; we don't even need him to win this one."

Ladies and gentlemen, they play the games for a reason. Anything can happen. I wouldn't exactly be putting money on Dallas next Sunday because I think the team is very limited right now. But there is always a chance, and strange things happen all the time in this league.

I know I am in the minority here, but I dont understand the desire for bollinger to play. Actually I do, but I dont think it is logical.

I think Johnsons biggest problem yesterday was seeing the defense fast enough. The bucs were crowding the line and dropping guys back in coverage.

I think the giants will be much more aggressive and will give Johnson the ability to see the field quicker with easier reads. I know that sounds crazy, but I think they are just going to come down hill all day, and I think with johnson in there he may see the hole quicker.

Now I have no illusions of him throwing it all over and winning the game but I am not sure why people think bollinger is much better. He doesnt have an arm much better than johnson and he has only been in the offense for 7 weeks now.

At least with johnson if the defense plays well, we can pound the ball and hope he protects it like yesterday.

I dont personally think we can win this game with anyone other than romo so I dont think panicking and making the change to boller makes much more sense.

and if bollinger is horrendous then what? YOu just throw johnson who you gave up on after a win back out there. That doesnt seem like a smart decision.

Now if johnson throws 3 picks in the fist half, that is different. But if we play good defense and he protects the ball the game can still be respectable.
