He’s getting testy and angry because media and fans are really starting to call him out.

It’s practically come to a boiling point in Dallas.
this. along with probably coping with mortality. despite all the nonsense he's had a hell of a run, and probably along the way genuinely believed he'd wildcat his way back to the top. now he's pretty much a laughing stock, the leagues passed him by, society's passed him by, and the sands don't stop. probably just raging against the dying of the light.

Wow another Jerry Jones post another front office GM post another I don't understand blah blah blah come on people how many of these do we need the man runs the team the way he wants and we have no control over it we just gonna watch the football when it comes back and maybe we appreciate it more knowing how fast the season goes by and how long and dreadful the offseasons are I'm looking forward to the draft and training camp I mean that's it that's all we can do as a fan and hopefully this season turns out better in 2025 than it did in 2024 that's all we control is if we watch or not but this over reactions with the GM he's the same as he always has been he doesn't do these things by himself by the way I know you think he's some kind of queen of England up there but the Jones family does this along with a whole bunch of people who are in their ear you know they have lawyers and cpas and people who drop contracts and capologists and they have scouting departments there's about 1200 total employees if you count the players they're not being ran by one man they're one man that may be becoming senile this is a group effort good bad or indifferent it's being done by a group if not we would have Johnny Manziel here guys like him Jerry does not run the draft he does not make the final decisions he may want you to feel that way 'cause that's what he loves is the attention he wants you to feel like he's the governor but in the end people are advising him he gets it from everyone including the coaching staffs..

So I'll say it again nothing's gonna change if you look at the Raiders when al Davis passed on nothing's changed the Dallas Cowboys have been better than the Raiders by the way regardless before and after al Davis left the Cowboys are still a better team so as much as everyone keeps calling this al Davis 2.0 when al Davis left nothing changed with the Raiders they're still the same old Raiders I'm pretty sure Davis still runs that think about it the Jones family is gonna run this for a while get used to it get over it get past it..

I really wonder how many members have ever experienced a family member, friend, etc., who was actually diagnosed with any form of dementia? People who have witnessed it for themselves know what senility really is. It is not something akin to seeing actors perform in movies and television.

It is not an automatic ailment attributive to simply growing old. Heck. Early onset of Alzheimer's can happen to people in their 30's and 40's (link). And it is never a joking or off-the-cuff matter.

Something feels.... different about Jerry. I can't quite tell what it is. I know he's a narcissist and all, but he just feels a bit off. Like, previously, he would just annoy me with his decision making, but he was at least funny. He at least kept an appearance that he was trying to win. As aggravating as the losing had been, there was still some entertainment from the team and from him. When I could understand his Jerryisms, there was usually a nugget of wisdom or what he said was quite funny. Now, since the Green Bay loss, something feels.... different.

The way he approached the offseason. The way he talked at the tc press conference. The way he approached the Dak and CeeDee deals. The way he's treated Mike, and the way he is currently treating Mike when it came to the Chicago situation. The entire season and the way he is still behaving feels a bit more akin to when he rage traded Amari Cooper. I can seldom understand what he says/his Jerryisms anymore, and, even when I can, they just seem much more rage induced or petty. Quite plainly, he seems meaner and angrier than normal.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Old age and drink catches up to...sometimes quick!

You are so right...he may have done odd things before, but he seemed..I dunno...lucid? Witty?

Now...not so much. I don;t even bother anymore.

It's critical that the people around them help. It's absolutely brutal. That commercial with the older lady and her daughter is a dramatization, but very real!

Jerry and his whole clan need to take some action. Jerry doesn't want the back seat, but as long as he's there, humans will human about it.

I don't think Jerry is senile, and there's no way for the family to take things away from him if he doesn't want to give them up.

He's just testy that people are calling him out on his terrible moves and lack of moves this year. He loves him some him and wants everyone else to love him, too.
he is not senile. he is solely focused on maximizing profit and increasing value. winning championships is not his top priority as you can only have one top priority.
every move he has made has been along those two. money money money. I mean the a-hole benched Rush so he doesn't have to pay a 250K bonus....compare that to what the Bucs did.

Jerry just doesn't care about winning championships. when you realize and accept that, then it all falls in place.

I full-heartedly agree Jones' family should take action but only after he shows real signs of dementia, which has not happened yet. That said, the entire family (minus Stephen/he's braindead) should have intervened with their patriarch when he lost his blankety <expletive> mind March 28, 1994. There could have been other interventions since but that should have been the first one.

It’s what he’s always done, drawing everything out keeps Dallas relevant in the cycle. Expect a presser on Sunday announcing MM signing and Jerry speak about how great a HC he is and he always knew he was going to resign him.

Congratulations on completely missing the point of this thread. My point isn't so much about his management style. It's more about his overall demeanor. The way he ran the team this year is more of a symptom of a deeper issue I'm noticing about him. He seems different overall with the way he's approaching people, and my point is that I think something seems off about Jerry as a person compared to before.

We have a few (dear) member who really like to set to at other (dear) members. BB is one.

Yes...we know it's Jerry's team and he does what he wants. And we...are free to comment on it in any way we wish.

Yeah, I'm aware, but I felt the need to reassert the point of my OP. I'm allowed to share my observations of what I've noticed involving Jerry, as well as, to your point, the way I feel he's running the team.

No, I just disagree with what you're saying,

this is pretty much more of what Jerry's always done, I mean he thought he was doing the very best job he could and it failed... they treated free agency the same they treated the draft the same they roll the dice and it failed this year, sometimes you can fill enough holes in the draft and with cheap free agents but nothing could make up for the over 18 injuries we had most of which were multiple weeks if not more than three to five games or out for the season you can't make up for that...

On his attitude and demeanor,

wouldn't you be more angry if you had higher hopes for the season I'm right out of the gate you get your *** handed to you like 3 out of the first five games and then you start losing all your starters and then they start criticizing you, mocking you, making fun of you ,putting up poster hate boards, sure you'd react a little more poorly the whole fire the GM that he was being questioned at every point this is the most blowback he's had to experienced in a long time.... So I think there's good reason why he seems different is because it's been a while since he had this bad a season for just about everything didn't work out very few bright spots and now he has to go into an offseason and figure out his entire coaching staff before the offseason starts and he's uncomfortable with change..

So was Jerry grumpier, I'm sure he was because we were all more grumpy, I'm pretty sure this place by far got the worst demeanor I've ever seen right from the Green Bay loss in the playoffs, and it just got worse and snowballed and I've never seen a more negative place in my life from an alleged fan site...
