That's right. We have the perpetual trolls telling us it's nothing. But I see something with this guy. More than, say, players like Houston. I don't think Houston has much of a chance on the 53 myself.. Not sure how they set up the PS.

I've never seen Houston or Fehoko look like that in camp.. ever.

I haven't seen much from Houston, which isn't a good sign for him making the team this year. Fehoko has looked poor. It's amazing how in the span of a year, they've gone from being shoe-ins to make the team to now where they probably can't even make our PS. Just shows what the team had to work with at WR last year compared to this year.

I don't know how ANYONE is excited about the offense even with adding Cooks. Everyone knows Tyron will eventually go down. How is Dak going to throw with these scrub Olinemen?
I will be excited until Tyron goes down. But yes, knowing he will puts a big damper on it. The scrubs we have coming off the bench the the musical chairs once it happens will screw up the line.

I did. But I live in SC. My friends who are USC fans had solid things to say about him. I thought he jumped out on tape though.
Which tape? I looked at his highlights and seemed to lack separation and was typically covered tight. He was just making great grabs in traffic.

I think it's more to do with the weapons. Plus, the fact that we're going with a quicker passing scheme should help Tyron. This is because Dak should have the ball out within 3-5 seconds of taking the snap. I think part of the problem with the Garrett/Linehan/Moore scheme is that the routes took a long time to develop, which meant the oline had to hold their blocks longer. Now that we're going to a quicker passing scheme, the time with which the oline needs to block is going to decrease. Thus, the scheme should help protect the oline.
Yeah, it's going to have to be a quick pass scheme, especially if Zach doesn't come back and the inevitable injury to Tyron.

I think Zach will be back. Besides, he will have to. If he holds out the whole season, then the end of his contract would likely be pushed back a year. As for Tyron, I do understand that part. That said, I think the quicker passing scheme should help protect Tyron.

Brooks has surprised me. He has a chance to make the 53, and I didn’t really think he did. That’s why I always try to just keep an open mind through training camp. You never know who is going to have a little something.

I love being surprised that way, because that is like a free draft pick for the team.

I’m a big Brooks fan now. Give ‘em hell young man!

There's talk Zach could retire too. Would be hard to believe but he is in his 30's, so it can happen. Like you said, hopefully he is back by 1st game. Maybe he just didn't want to go through training camp. lol

Well, and players in their 30s hate TC lol, and he's one player that doesn't really need TC. I remember seeing on Hard Knocks where the late Tony Siragusa mentioned how much he hated TC. So, I could see Zach Martin just using a "hold out" as a way to skip TC.

Zack has been working out with Duke Manyweather, so very unlikely that he would retire.

It would have made more sense for him to report and have hamstring tightness and pull chords all day at camp and that way he could keep his $100K

The 4th receiver spot is wide open for the taking . The door is open for Brooks .

I’m talking this year, based on reports of day to day stuff, camp coverage… people are thinking Turpin and Brooks are having better camps; not that Tolbert has had a bad one.

How many WRs are we keeping on the 53?
Like very many others, I predict SIX as well:
1 Lamb
2 Cooks
3 Gallup
4 Turpin
5 Tolbert
6 Brooks

I predict Simi,.. Cropper and Houston to the Practice squad

That’s very fair, I’d probably agree with it. I’m curious to see Tolbert in preseason. Houston can’t be forgotten either
