Something I noticed with Dak

Only thing that stood out to me was him checking into a run and Zeke getting a 10 yard gain behind Leary in the second half.

There is just too many unknowns ie what he is actually checking and any other adjustments being made to really come to any conclusion so most of the time presnap I pay attention to formation and what the defense is doing.

For a while, Dak was making all sorts of presnap adjustments on EVERY PLAY.
Very suspicious to me.

We took their best shot, and came out tied at halftime. I think a lot of us expected the second half to look different.

In terms of what changed, I'd say the OL strated handling the twists better, and also just got more physical as the adrenaline wore off for the Ravens.

DaK what he's done the past few weeks. He remained calm despite a slow start, limited mistakes, and finished VERY strong. Those last three drives were absolutely ridiculous, especially considering that was the #1 defense.

I can go with that. Dak did look out of sync but the offensive line also seemed a little overwhelfmed by the Raven front. However, when you think of how other quarterbacks typically fare under the same circumstances Then I think you have to give some credit to Dak for his early play, not for what he did well but for what he didn't do to detriment the team.

Under that pressure the rookie didn't crumble. He didn't get rattled, he didnt make game changing errors, he didnt turn the ball over while the team continued to grind.

Then the offensive line talked it over at the half, decided they needed to work harder and came out making a statement. The fact that it was 10-10 and not 17-0 was huge considering the pressure Dak was under in the 1st half.

The most impressive thing to me about Dak is he does not turn the ball over. He's thrown 2 TD and lost 2 fumbles and that is all over 10 games. That is simply elite.

Dak took that overwhelming D well.
Romo would likely have try to houdini himself into a bunch of interceptions or be laid out after a huge hit.
Calm grinding is preferred to houdini act for me, even if houdini act is cool when it works.

Did you notice all the presnap adjustments Dak was doing in the middle of the 1st half.
It seems like he was preoccupid with whatever is going on.
After a while, it seems the coaches said to just play football and stop getting distracted (to me anyway)

Exactly. Dak finished the game completing 19 of his last 20 passes.

Really? What's the point of attacking Romo?

I'm not attacking Romo, being realistic, Romo is done in this league...this is the NFL, it's a young mans game for the most part, I remember the QB carousel after when the had no plan for his successor, and they had no plan plan for Romo's successor...except we got very lucky this time...

a slow start is a big deal if we play the patriots.
why the slow starts - not all teams are like that.
are we still asleep, are teams able to scheme us more than the average team - what is going on?

Maybe it's just as simple as a rookie QB taking a possession or 2 to comfortable, getting off to a slow start is happening on both sides of the ball...

Maybe we need better game plan Planning, I am finding it hard to be negative with this team at this point, 9-1 with a rookie QB is impressive...

It is hard to be negative with 9-1.

The rookie QB was getting huge pressure, so it is on the OL.
Some mind games were going on, considering all the presnap adjust he was doing.

Romo is not coming back so you can

1. Accept it and support dak
2. Log out and stop posting
When exactly did I post a Romo is coming back thread or post???? I am waiting???? No, I posted a reality based thread stating the facts that Dak looked bad to start this game. If you care to argue the facts, I am game. You will lose but you are the one who is agenda driven.

But it is a knock on Dak when you pretend a few incompletions is 'sucking' but 27/36 for 300 yds and 3 tds is 'looking better'.

Call it like you see it? He struggled early and dominated late.
I am not arguing that point. Are you now admitting he sucked to start the game?? If so we have no argument.

I didn't say he looked good to start the game.

He didn't look good.

I'm just saying that when we say Dak looks 'really bad', and that is literally just a few incompletions and nothing negative at all, that that is not actually that bad at all.

Really bad is Weeden. We need to put Dak's incompletions in perspective and be thankful that that's what his 'really bad' looks like

If you are now admitting he looked bad to start the game we have no argument. That is all I said. Just the facts.

It's called the "it" factor. Something this team hasn't seen in a long time.

"In a long time..."

I'm not sure if you're forgetting 2014 or what? A BS call away from being in the NFC Championship game.

No, what I'm saying is he didn't look good. Totally different from sucking. Sucking involves significant negative plays. There was nothing of the sort.
