That's him.

Martina was nice and actually I was glad they got away from the Vito story for at least an episode. I don't think Chris will be doing much more Hollywood stuff after his crew went crazy while he was gone.

Artie was way over the top but I thought it was kind of funny him going off on everyone... Martina, good God what a beautiful woman. The high priced hooker Chris has was super hot as well.

Vinny Delpino... the kid who'd always come in through Doogies window. He was also Timon in the original Broadway cast of the Lion King.

I have had no problem with the season. Things are obviously spinning for the final season where it all comes apart.

I enjoyed the extra screen time for Artie, he was a pillar of the first season that has been sorely missed since then. The other missing pillar that really hurt the show is Nancy Marchand.

I've seen one episode of this show ever - last night. But ever since it came out, and other cable series that have followed (The Shield, nip/tuck, Deadwood, etc.), men talk about these things the way women used to talk about soap operas.:laugh2::lmao2:

"OMGOMGOMG, DIDJA SEE THE STORIES THE OTHER NIGHT?!? VITO IS GHEY!"

Do yourself a favour and rent/buy the first season of The Sopranos. It just doesn't get any better than that. I've also found the new season a bit underwhelming (still better than pretty much anything else out there.) Once you watch the pilot episode, you'll be hooked.

I've wanted to for a while now - but my job doesn't afford me time to watch that much. I had to schedule time the other night just to watch TV, and it happened to be on.

I agree. Shows that are this good and are on for awhile are usually always described as "not as good as it used to be" or "sort of underwhelming". Seinfeld met the same fate. The Sopranos is still a great show, but it's hard to live up to people's expectations. It's still one of the best shows on TV, but that's not saying much.

I've still only ever seen this one episode - but I keep watching it when it is on just so I can see Lauren Bacall drop the f bomb twice.

The circle is complete, AJ is now having panic attacks like his dad.

Tony exercising self control sexually is an interesting twist, maybe he really does love Carmela.

How is it of all the small towns in New Hampshire for Vito to end up in, he lucks into the one with a huge homosexual population. How stereotypical is it for the gay guy to have a porn stache?

AJ has had attacks before. Once while at football practice and when they were going to send him to military school.

I knew he wouldn't be able to pull off stabbing Jr.

That was easily the best episode of the season. The scene with AJ and Tony was fantastic. Also, Tony pulling back from the real estate agent was very good.

I think I speak for everyone, though, when I say that we're interested to see how the Vito situation is handled. We're NOT, however, interested in "the adventures of Vito, the gay mobster." There's a big difference.

AJ realizing that he has no pull and was just living off his dads coattails.

I love when he was with the girl and said that he probably have to "take care" of Junior...then his ******* actually went and tried.

Ah yes I forgot about them. Tony telling him he's a good kid and he is grateful was touching, powerful scene.

You know I was bored the other day and I started compiling my top 5 Sopranos episodes. Here's what I came up with (in no particular order):

Pine Barrens (season 3)- Probably the funniest episode ever. Steve Buscemi was a great choice to direct this oen.

I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano (season 1 finale)- A total powerhouse of an episode. Tony comes close to whacking his mum, loses it on Melfi before finally convincing her to go into hiding, and cleans house- taking out Junior's key guys. Killer episode.

Funhouse (season 2 finale)- Probably the saddest show I've ever seen. Big *****'s last moments were hard to watch.

Whoever Did This (season 4)- The one where Tony takes out Ralphie. Probably the most shocking episode in the series.

University (season 1)- Tony takes Meadow to check out schools and comes across a 'rat'. More or less a mini-movie, with a self-contained plot. Apparently one of David Chase's favourites.

Honourable Mention- The Pilot episode- Incredible introduction to the show.
I just re-watched "University" and "...Jeannie Cusamano."

Wow! Those were great f-ing episodes. It reminds me of why I liked this show so much in the first place. They really haven't come close to touching that level of emotional-investment in the show this year.

The whole story-line of University is incredible, and the power and emotion of Jeannie Cusamano was amazing. The emotion of the Tony/AJ scene this week was really good, but it was nothing like Tony confronting his mother or Tony and Meadow talking in the car together.

Plus, the whole secondary story-lines (Artie Bucco, Father Phil, etc) were woven in so well into the story as well... much better than this year's Artie story or all the Vito stuff, which seems really patched together and an after-thought from the main story.

David Chase didn't want to do another season so I'm not sure he put forth his best effort.

I didn't buy it at first, but the AJ as a gangster story was starting to pull me in.

In that scene where he has the panic attack, right before when he's starting to shake around, I thought that he was going to beatdown one of his punk friends and become Mr. Legit on us, but instead, he is overwhelmed, and faints. Then he does something as stupid as trying to kill Junior with a knife in a locked-up high security mental ward. Future crime lord he is not. Next week's episode looks like it drops the AJ story entirely. Oh well.

I will say this. I wonder if that talk about Michael Corleone avenging his father and how it's Tony Soprano's favorite scene is a lil' bit of foreshadowing. I could easily see the show ending with Tony Sopranos's death and AJ killing the person responsible. Or better yet, AJ somehow killing his old man.

Boy I wish the show was ending this season like originally planned. I'd like to see it all wrapped up. There's only so many stories you can tell before you end up going to the gay soldato card.

Hopefully the Vito story line plays out soon. It's already gotten old.

Before I forget, for all you Sopranos fans, guess who is this month's cover girl on Maxim? ;) Meadow has grown up!

I would link 'em, but I think the mods closed a thread that showed stuff like this before, so I'll let you check them out for yourself. You can find them at Maxim's official site.
