The Cowboys' video board is positioned too low.

Punts can hit it.

A league rule is already in place for a re-kick if and when this occurs.

A re-kick isn't the result of a penalty.

Re-kicks are an embarrassment to not all, but to some.

Injuries can result in a punt impacting the videoboard after the coverage team runs down the field.

It is implied that injuries are more likely to occur in this instance than if, for instance, a punt is fair caught or is kicked out of bounds or into the endzone.

The league approved the height, but doesn't want to lift the videoboard on their dime.

Jerry Jones complied with the league, but doesn't want to raise the videoboard on his dime since he followed league guidelines.

Jerry Jones is the Devil.

Roger Goodell is considered to be Satan unless he's making the Devil do something completely opposite of what he told him to do in the first place.

Jeff Fisher's mustache looks x-rated on the videoboard when he's crying about his punter intentionally hitting it.

Bob Sacamano's abs look even flabbier on the videoboard.

Which stadiums? I'm dying to know what other stadiums have things hanging from the ceiling like Dallas. Nearly 3/4 of the league plays outdoors and then there are a handful of stadiums that have retractable roofs. Only a couple stadiums are actually domed in such a manner that anything could hang over the field like it does in Dallas.

As far as fair, blame it on the NFL. Its their rules and them that approved it. If the NFL wants to change the rule after the fact, then NFL can pay for the change or leave it as grandfathered in.
Jerry done nothing wrong, followed the rules, and got the NFL and all its head to SIGN OFF on it before installing it. So frankly, IMO the NFL should tread lightly with Jerry if they want it raised.

As far as play on the field is concerned it should. The rest of the league shouldn't have to adjust to Dallas. Dallas should adjust to the rest of the league.

its nothing more than like the crown of our field in texas stadium. It was not fair for other teams, but our QB was good with it. What was cowboys supposed to do about it. Was not against NFL regulations at all, just like this screen isn't.

I don't get all the hate. The screen is awesome, it's a nice extra feature, and Jerry Jones isn't at fault on whether it was high enough. They had to have the league approve the building plans before they could build the thing in the first place and the league signed off on it saying 90 feet more than met their requirements for how high it was supposed to be.

Logically, that has to be false in reality. During the game, McBriar kicked a 63-yarder. That's 189 feet. The video board's only 90 feet up. If McBriar wanted to hit it, he would have.

physics works differently in a vertical direction with gravity than it does in a horizontal direction. an nfl qb that can throw the ball 65 yards (195 feet) would not be able to throw it 195 feet in the air. gravity is constantly working in the downward motion against anything moving up but you do not have the same force working in the horizontal direction of travel.
