I may be in the minority here, but I don’t think Tyron has played all that well over the past 3 years, when he has actually played. He is decent against power rushers, but speed rushers seem to have already turned the corner on him.

I’m not saying he’s not an asset to the team anymore, but I do not think that he should be viewed as anything more than a swing tackle, spot player at this point in his career.

I would be looking to trade Tyron for a draft pick (2nd round) to a team that is desperate for OL help. Tyron may not be totally done but the fat lady is warming up to sing on his career.

Tyron is a classic example of the Cowboys hanging on to a player for too long. The Hoodie would have already flipped him for a first round pick a year or two ago and his replacement would be starting now.

I’m OK with keeping Tyron around with a pay cut but you can’t overpay everyone. Tyron has been underpaid for most of his career but those days are long gone.

He has 1yr left on his contract. If he plays 1/3 of the year or 1/2 the year at RT, we should be fine.

I guess maybe if he plays well this year we might get a comp pick for him next year. I just don’t see Tyron being worth his cap hit.

Our Oline is depleted. Should have never gotten rid of Connor Williams. Our backups are coming off significant injuries, and they have big question marks concerning their abilities and talent. This Oline has much to fix, and it didn't help at all getting rid of 2 veteran Olinemen who were in their prime (1 was overpaid; the other was badly played at the wrong spot). We can than Joe Philbin and his decisions for this mess. Thankfully, he's gone, but his issues still remain.
