:hammer:

i really hate to see bruce go, i love that guy, one of my all time favorite athletes. But this is a great deal for the spurs; we get an all star caliber player in his prime for 3 washed up veterans!

The Lakeshow is very worried about this deal..........

You should be considering that the Lakers will lose Odom and will once again suck. The Spurs,Blazers,Nuggets will all surpass LA next year.

Team to watch...Golden State Warriors. A healthy roster+7th overall pick=instant contenders. Heard a rumor that they want Caron Butler.

Great trade.

Catching a weak team that is looking to cut costs and has an outstanding player available.

Bowen and Thomas are at the end of the careers. Oberto is a solid role guy, but he's certainly replaceable.

The Spurs got younger, more athletic, and more explosive.

Jefferson is in his prime.

Its just too bad that the Spurs couldn't keep two of their recent draftees -- Scola and Splitter.

They still have Splitter rights and he is still young I am betting next year he comes over because the Spurs can pay him more than his draft position due to the CBA

:laugh2: the only team you named that could surpass the Lakers is maybe the Spurs. I still don't think the trade is that good for the Spurs. RJ is overrated imo and he's not a very consistent shooter. he just doesn't seem like a greg popavich player.

Jefferson is a really nice kid. He used to date a girl named Leah who lived in one of my apartments. Now and then Luke Walton would drive him over in his 59 Cadillac convertible. Luke would sit outside smoking cigars while Richard and Leah "visited." I kidded him one time that he was Richard's pimp. He said, "I got to help my boy relax." Richard would just laugh when told of our comments. He always has an easy grin and is just a genuine good guy.

I feel much better hearing you say this. Now, I know the Lakers will be O.K.

If Odom doesnt re-sign with L.A. and the San Antonio can get Sheed, the Spurs are comin outta the West.

Not sure the likelyhood of that happening, but either way the Spurs are a definite top 3 team in the West again and by the time the chemistry starts to come together, they'll probably move ahead of Denver as the 2nd best. It's a great trade, but it still doesnt solve the San Antonio's issues with the length of the Lakers.

Lakers are done w/o Odom. Seriously. Odom did so much for that team with his versitility. Who's backing up Gasol and Bynum? Mbenga? Powell? WOW. The Lakers bench goes from stacked to whack with the loss of Odom. Fisher is most likely gone and Farmar isn't anything special. Who's backing him up now? Sasha is just straight trash. Puke Walton..well nuff said. They are going to spend all they can to keep Ariza. Even if that means they have to overpay him.You know teams are dying to have his versitility.

BYEBYE FAKESHOW. Your window has closed. Enjoy this championship. You won't see another one for 10 years. When Kobe is washed up it's rebuilding time!!

This is a hater's response. Odom is incredibly inconsistent and the only thing that happens when they lose him, is the gap between the Lakers and everybody else in the West gets smaller, but still exists.

What big man is coming off the bench when Gasol or Bynum get in foul trouble? What big man will step in for 30 games when Andrew "glass" Bynum has another nagging injury? They arn't in good shape cap wise as it is plus you have to factor in Ariza making 6-8 mil instead of his 3 that he was making last year. They still need to resign Farmar and they can't trade Puke since he's on the books for another 3 years making 6 mil a pop. No one will take that contract. Kobe has 2 years of dominant play anyways. I can't WAIT till it's 2004-2006 era again in LA and everyone jumps ship when Kobe is on his last legs making 20 mil. ALA Shaq
