 This guy is a straight up beast and punkd the number two overall Haseem Thabeet. He slid because of an injury concern and the fact that he's 6"6 body that can't shoot. He's in a good franchise and will play with a chip on his shoulder. Let's hope he doesn't eat that chip.

It's a lot easier for Thabeet to gain weight and muscle than it will be for Blair to lose weight good franchise or not.

Wrong. Thabeet will never be as beastly and strong as Blair. You can't teach what Blair has. Thabeet is just a tall stick that blocks shots.

Blair>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Thabeet

I'm not terribly impressed with Thabeet either, but Mutombo got by for a long time being a tall skinny, shot blocker.

He also had some offensive game at Georgetown and a was a reliable scoring threat through his career. Thabeet could become that but he is so raw it's almost comical. Very overrated.

Blair is the next Robert Tractor Traylor. He'll himself out out of the league in 3 years.

I think he is the next Anthony Mason (some of the younger kids wont remember him).

Which is exactly what the Spurs need .... a tough mean bully enforcer.

I'll stick by my prediction that he'll eat himself out of the league and be in Pop's dog house most of the time.

We'll see on Thabeet but I think the Grizz did the right thing by not taking Rubio. It won't shock me if he stays in Spain.

Blair is a much, much better rebounder than Mason.

And Blair doesn't have the range offensively that Mason had.

I was talking more about attitude and "role" in the league.
