we need another big man and rasheed would also stretch the floor for timmy with his three point ability. the spurs have always done good with guys like that, like robert horry. Gortat wouldnt be too bad either for the right price

id rather have RJ over carter just because of age and durability

Agreed. And Jefferson is known as a better defender, too.

Spurs get richer with DeJuan Blair falling into their laps in the second round!

Time to put together a good run and bring the title back to San Antonio.

I cannot believe DeJuan Blair fell to the Spurs. He was one of the toughest players in the NCAA this year. He broke all sort of unofficial rebounding marks and dominated the number 2 pick Hasheem Thabett in front of the entire NBA. He is a beast.

****. Your big just fell into your lap.

But your overrating RJ. VC is way more complete, versatile, clutch, and dependable. Thats why SA tried to get VC first.

your overrating vince carter, his best days are behind him, RJ has more playoff and winning experience, ill take that all day.

its not by accident his nickname is now half man, half a season, lol

(credit goes to charles barkley for that one)

Way more durable and dependable than RJ. VC has missed 11 games in the past 4 seasons. Im a Nets fan, VC is a stud, the best clutch shooter in the league. RJ is a great 3rd option.
Also, RJ was a disruptive force in his last year. But like I said, Pop should keep him in line

I have it like:
1. LA
2. Orlando
3. Cleveland
4. SA
5. Den

Ya but rj hasn't missed one game the last 2 years and he is 3 years younger! If they were both 29 I'd rather have Vince. But he isn't and he didn't cost us mason or hill like Vince would have so I'm very happy with the trade. Plus he will more than likely be the third scoring option at best next year, unless there is an injury of course

Teams were worried about his knees.

That's why he fell.

Understandable ..... I feel like they are gonna really regret it ..... even if he only lasts as long as Duncan has left.

And the Spurs should thank their lucky stars for that. To get a borderline lottery talent at that point in the draft is more than a steal.

Plus, if I understand correctly, he played his entire college career without either ACL and never missed a game (and according to Jamie Dixon, never missed a practice, either).

Oh, and I love the McClinton pick, too. As a Carolina fan, I can honestly say that he scared me offensively more than any other player in the ACC last year. The dude can straight up SCORE. He is Eddie House...but with the ability to get to the basket.

last French dude the Spurs drafted happened to be Tony Parker

and in the French A-league, he averaged 12 points a game, not bad

seriously, i saw him play in the finals of the NBDL a couple of years ago when the toros (austin team) made it to the finals and we got free tickets, kids got loads of talent, just cant stay healthy. hopefully he can this year and earn a spot on the rotation, lord knows we need a big man in there to help timmy

Orlando looks really good. I'm not even going to lie. Their owners are billionairs and don't care about the luxury tax at all. They've already said they would pay it with their own money. Those are great owners for fans

Blair is the next Robert Tractor Traylor. He'll himself out out of the league in 3 years.

 This guy is a straight up beast and punkd the number two overall Haseem Thabeet. He slid because of an injury concern and the fact that he's 6"6 body that can't shoot. He's in a good franchise and will play with a chip on his shoulder. Let's hope he doesn't eat that chip.
