Well I have never booked anything on this board but I will now,

MBIII will get 18+ carries a game. Rush for 1300+ yds. 10+ TD's.

Oh yeah. Dmac will not be a Cowboy!!!!

Well according to some on here it is. According a lot of opinions on here the only one I'm not going out on a limb is the TD's. 18+ carries for 1300+ yds at 4.5 ydc shows he can carry the load. Which quite a few on here dont think he can.

I agree with. I dont think I'm going out on limb either. Some on here will.

Again, their are people here that doesnt think MBIII can carry the load. What would you like me to up to make it more interesting. It's hard to give him more carries and yds considering how much we pass. I think if he puts up them #'s it will show he can carry the load. Which is what a lot of people dont think he can do.

He didnt gas in the playoffs. Spare me the stats I've already seen them. I'll show you stats from games that he got stronger int the 2nd half. He got one carry in the 4th qt that game. They had the ball with 13 min left, 7 min left and I believe 1:50 left and he had one carry. We were only behind by 4. Bad play calling. Hard to say he gased in the 2nd half when he got 1 carry in the 4th.

I say 2 playoff wins. I would hope all Cowboy fans would think that. Even if Dmac isnt our RB.

You are covering your bases. But after researching I did find some really funny things some of our folks said here regarding Peterson coming out.

This from Catch17

He can't stay on the field.

Also he is probably the dumbest runner i've ever seen. He just makes it on pure talent alone.

He is raw raw raw and has a lot of work to do.

I wouldn't take him if he fell to us at 22.

This from Rack (sorry Rack)

Wow. You must have learned a thing or two cuz we agree a lot more nowadays. :D

I've said for awhile now that Peterson is overrated (no one wants to hear it though). He IS a good runner, just not the "elite" runner people make him out to be. I wouldn't use a first on him cuz we already have a runner of his style and he's been hurt every one of his college seasons.

I'd rather us take a shifty/elusive type RB. We've got a Bulldozer (MBIII), now we need an elusive RB that will actually USE his elusiveness.

This from dbair1967

he isnt one of the greatest RB talents of the last decade

in fact he looked pretty ordinary against mighty Boise the other night...

David

This from Biggems

my best friend has a hard on for AD....i cant stand the guy....

He is an injury waiting to happen....my friend disagrees....

IMO, we should go after Michael Bush IF we choose a RB on the first day.......but I believe I just read that he is going back to school....not sure

More from Catch17

Maybe you just don't know what your talking about and I do?

I understand the type of talent Peterson has. Anyone with 2 eyes can see it.

I just dont like how he runs.

I know this sounds like an old Grandma saying but he runs like a chicken with his head cut off. He has no discipline when he runs.

Also he runs very high and hes about 6'2. Hes shown every year that he will find a way to get hurt.

His style of running mixed with his height will get his leg broke in this league.

I don't deny the talent im just not sold on his football smarts.

Also he may have the worst hands i've ever seen.

Talented but raw.

This from ThreeSportsStar80 (no surprise)

No thanks Peterson can't seem to stay healthy, I wonder about his conditioning/work ethic in the offseason. I wouldn't give anything up for him but if should happen to fall to 23, which I seriously doubt then no question I'd take him.

Funny research looking though all of those threads. Ill go through more of the old archives when I get home. Im at the office atm. Some of us have to work.

This is funny.

One thing though, hate to bring it up, but when is the last time AD played a complete season without getting hurt and being out some games........he still hasn't proved he can stay healthy really. Wonder what would happen if Chester wasn't there.

If he can get 25+ carries a game he'll get 1600+ yds for 4.0 ydc and 15+ TD's.

As said before I dont see him getting this many carries in this O. There will be someone to give him a brake and we're gonna pass a lot.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter does not believe the Raiders will take Arkansas RB Darren McFadden if he's available with the No. 4 pick.
Schefter says he's "looking for Vernon Gholston" to be Oakland's choice. Schefter usually has the inside scoop on anything Raiders-related, from reporting Art Shell's firing several weeks in advance to revealing Lane Kiffin and Al Davis' back-and-forth. It'd be hard not to trust him on this.

And if Tuna does happen to like and take Gholston, as rumored as being possible, then Long is a pretty similar player and you have the Al Davis connection to his deddy.

BTW, I do have to say that McFadden and Bush are nothing alike. At all.

That is a good argument. Even getting hurt and not being used as much he was able to pull down ROTY.

Pretty impressive for a kid who is hurt all the time. ;)

True, just saying, if he gets hurt every season as a youngster, I wonder if the situation will get any better as he gets older.

I think what was underestimated about him is how physical he actually runs. Everyone likes to say, well this is the NFL, blah blah blah. But sometimes you do have to see when you are dealing with an elite talent, those rules might not apply, whether it is power, speed, agility, whatever.

RBs are really unique these days, hard to compare them to anyone really. If I had a gun to my head, guess I would compare AD to Payton and DMac to Dickerson or OJ, but really I don't think any are a good comparison. Backs are about as unique as a fingerprint these days.

AP is going to be one of the most dominant running backs to play this game... the guy is a marvel... I like him better than LT...
