If you dont get it by now. You're never gonna get it.

How upset are you gonna be when Dmac isnt in Dallas next year. I know someone on here has already made a bet with you about if we draft him or not. I bet you the same bet he wont rush for more than 1000 yds in his rookie season.

i won't bet you that cause i don't know what o-line he has blocking for him.

but if we don't draft him and don't win a playoff game next season, i'm coming out swinging.

Didn't Indy win the SB with Addai as a rookie RB after they let Edge walk in FA.

We've got to be a bit selective about who we give big contracts to so long as there is a salary cap in place. Barber is replaceable. If we aren't signing him long-term, I'd like to trade him this year for a first.

Unfortunately, RB is a position of strength for the Dolphins with Ronnie Brown as Tuna would have been a pretty good trade partner at pick 32.

Yeah they did, but tell me now, how many sacks did the Colts O-Line give up the year before.

Manning VERY RARELY gets sacked.

That's because your arms will finally be free from clinging to his butt cheeks.

Just because we don't get him, doesn't mean we wont have tried. If he goes in the top 4, I don't think anyone will hold that against Jerry. If he drops a bit, then I think we can debate whether or not Jerry should have pulled the trigger.

yea, but we'll pay 22 and 28 a lot less than 4 or therabouts.

we can't pay barber $30+mil and also a mcfadden type player. too much cash tied up in one position. unless we trade barber mcfadden ain't gonna happen.

wonder what avatar you'll be sporting... any chance stewart? :p:

Romo also doesn't take many sacks. The OL is pretty good at pass blocking and Romo has a quick release and can feel the rush.

Technically, we could have them both......for one season then we would have to let Barber walk.

This will make you happy..

NFL Network's Adam Schefter does not believe the Raiders will take Arkansas RB Darren McFadden if he's available with the No. 4 pick.
Schefter says he's "looking for Vernon Gholston" to be Oakland's choice. Schefter usually has the inside scoop on anything Raiders-related, from reporting Art Shell's firing several weeks in advance to revealing Lane Kiffin and Al Davis' back-and-forth. It'd be hard not to trust him on this.

We can probably pick up a vet to show the kids the ropes. They should be ready to take over the reigns at the midpoint of the season.

It has nothing to do with covering bases. It has to do with your amusement at people in this thread fawning over Peterson. If you weren't referring to people in this thread, well then it was just a pointless comment you made. If you were referring to people in this thread, then the only relevant comments you can find will be from people in this thread.

I guess you could GENERALIZE my post that way. As I said Punk...Im still at the office. I still have some archives to go through. :D

this is a good thing. This will get done sometime soon. I am sure they will find a middle ground and bang it out.

If not, Jerry will tell barber what he once told Michael Irvin when he asked for a 2.3 million dollar deal....."You know that town El Paso........that is what I am going to do on this deal....El Paso........ Irvin laughed his butt off and worked out a deal that satisfied both sides....

I think the same will be done here.

To elaborate on theebs' story...

Jerry actually sat Irvin down in his office, pulled a Serande Flamenca Blanca 6-string from its case, and began to lightly pick the nylons to the beautiful, yet familiar tune that introduces a Marty Robbins' classic song. Jerry lightly cleared his throat and opened his mouth to reveal the first lines of that epic little diddy...

"Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican Girl...
"

Stunned by Jones' musical gifts, Michael Irvin gently put his hand on Jerry's left shoulder, looked deep into his eyes and said in a whisper, "Oh, Mr. Jones, <poignant pause> you can be my Owner anytime, but eventually, you will have to pay my a@#." The mighty Playmaker then took over the lead vocal in the next line to the song, and Jones continued to strum along in time, with eyes closed...

"Night-time would find me in Rosa's cantina;
Music would play and Felina would whirl
."

OH HAPPY DAY!
