Belt says cowboys aren’t as interested in Hopkins as Hopkins is in dallas

Says Dallas will not trade a 1 or 2 and probably not even a 3 for Hopkins
Trading Hopkins would save the cardinals 8m in cap space and create 22m in dead cap. It’d probably take at least 1st, 2nd and 3rd for them to make that trade and take a 14m loss!

Not negatively supporting, or pro-supporting this trade, but people thinking just draft a WR need to pay attention to the history of rookie WR's.
Like OL, they generally take time to develop unless they are just monster talents.
That is the rule and there are exceptions, but just saying...
Eh, we just spent a whole season developing one at all 3 positions. Many can contribute much sooner if only given one receiver position to learn that first season!

Why would we want to give up a day 2 pick for a soon to be 31 yr old WR entering his 11th season?

Lol, so some guy said it in a tweet and it must be true? Article on Cards wire… there’s absolutely no strategic feasible reason to trade Hopkins much less for a 2nd (only) round pick. Doing so would only save 8m on this years cap and create a 22m dead cap hit. They’d be better off cutting him and designating him June 1st!
That's why the Cards have no leverage. If you don't want to wait on them to cut him or risk losing him, propose minimal compensation to them and let them make the choice of what route they prefer.

to Amari now. The last 5 seasons Amari smashes OBJ and it’s not even close.

He's an 1100 yard WR. He hasn't come close to the numbers OBJ or Hopkins put up in their careers. These are #2 WR numbers. Cleveland will find out soon enough. If we want to compare them at 30 years old with injuries.. lol sure. But over the course of a career.. it's not close at all.

You think OBJ can get a 1000 yards when he has not done that in his last 5 seasons? You do know the last 3 years OBJ season ended with two ACL injuries and he missed all of last season. Can you give me a player that has come back from two ACL injuries?

Lol! No leverage. Try there’s absolutely no incentive for them trading him. They have 23m in Cap space and FA is mostly over. They just want to burn 14m in cap… for minimal compensation! This is all just nonsense and gibberish creating a scenario where there isn’t one. Sources said… what soarce… the white knuckle drunk at the bar who really wishes it would happen!
