I am saying while I wasn't as disappointed in Hardy as many were here, he did not live up to his reputation outside of a couple games. JPP was consistently getting pressure on the QB, deflecting passes, and not even near as bad in the run game as some here are claiming. As for him rushing from one side, again, he's still managing to create more havoc in the backfield.
You want to discuss why just looking at sacks is meaningless? Look at Lawrence's sacks, then look at his pressures. I like the step forward Lawrence took this year, but he was not consistently causing QBs a headache. You want sacks? We all do. Know what I'd like as well? Rattling the QB, getting QB hits, getting him out of the pocket and taking away part of the field due to pressure and not having time to go through his reads.
There is absolutely no reason to downplay pressure on a QB. We need a DE to consistently get after the QB on every play, whether it results in sacks or not.
Imagine all the interceptions he'd have over batted balls without the crab claw.
Imagine all the sacks he'd have with two fully functioning thumbs.
I don't wish to discuss why sacks are overrated with someone sporting a rowdy avatar.
I don't care what you'd like with to go along with anything.
I don't give a bollox if PFF stats make you wish JPP was inside you at this very moment.
No drivel you bring up will change that. You keep forcing your opinion down my throat like your life depends on it. Like Elsa, let it go.
I'll pass, on him you, rowdy and PFF rankings (unless it's counting functional fingers, ten minimum please).
If he gets a juicy free agent deal I will be shocked. Anything other than a one year deal with incentives would surprise me. I'll take what the Cowboys have currently over him. At least they have upside, he's eating burritos with a spork.
I don't want your poxy octodigited player. You not getting this is dragging this place further into the gutter quicker than any perceived slight by a throw away post of a potential FA.
