Haters going to be haters and there is no changing there minds. Yep Dak is going to get at least 27 probably close to 30 average a year. It might be the top contract for a week then Seattle is going to pay 35 average a year, Rodgers getting a rework to at least that much, Wentz will get at least that next year and Mahomes is said to be the first 40+ average a year man. In a year 30 is going to look cheap.

Exactly, my friend. I don't think enough fans remember the horrors of the 2015 season.

Good QB play is hard to find in the NFL, let alone elite QB play. Dak falls squarely in the middle- he's well above just "good", and he's well under elite.

But the Cowboys are extremely fortunate to have him. Just look at other franchises across the league. There's a reason guys like Case Keenum keep getting pulled back out of the recycling bin.

Like Bill Parcells said here a long time ago, "some people think you can just dial 1-800-Quarterback".
Great points

You should care about his contract because it could have massive cap implications:
No one has been given a reason to believe that SJ doesn't understand how to handle the cap. Nothing to worry about.

"Intelligent" people would wait a few years before pretending that Dak didn't "make the Pro Bowl" because he got knocked out of the playoffs the earliest.
No intelligent people have watched every game of his 3 year career, seen all the come from behind victories despite a conservative OC, watched how he guts out wins and how his team goes all out for him.

Lol I made a thread about him getting 25M and 80% of the responses had him getting paid south of 23M lol. It’s nice to be right and tell those who know less what reality is.
Most, if not all of us never said he "wouldn't" get overpaid, just that he "shouldn't".

5/150m extension is really a
6/152m total deal .................... 30m a year becomes 25m a year real quick but the agent feels good

60m in gtds and a 30m signing bonus gets pro-rated over 5 years and his large 2020 base salary gets pro-rated too

But it can't be too backloaded because the deal extends past the end of the CBA after 2020... that means the 30% Rule is in play meaning the base salary can't grow more than 30% year to year

His cap hits will be 8m in 2019 and 12m in 2020

I don’t hate Dak just don’t think he is worth $30 million a year

None of that has happened, but keep on livin’ In your weird fantasy world. He’s a bus driver. The team wins in spite of him.
