Anthony Spencer is 24 years old. He isn't a kid. He has DeMarcus Ware. If you can't follow his lead, there is no hope for you. When you hire a coach, you don't look for "daddy". You can warn them and talk to them until you are blue in the face, but it is up to them to behave. You can't hold their hands.

The young players don't need bad examples like Pacman and Tank for sure.

Those are the players on Spencer's side of the ball that know how to behave off the field and on it. He has plenty of players to model his behavior after.

Based on some fans, you would think that 90% of this team are jail-birds. I almost forgot we were loaded with great guys on this team, it's kinda hard to remember when I come in here everyday and read the negativity I read.

I'm thinking admonishment in a stern manner while conveying that the type of predicament he got himself into won't be tolerated while he's wearing the star. Period. I'm not sure Wade's capable of that though...

I can't argue with that. I really think this would be a moment that Wade could embrace since he is the one that's supposedly going to get tougher. There's no better time than the present.

Really, I was just wanting to see what others would do. Folks get outraged alot and suggest Wade and co. should do something. I'd like to see what they would do BEFORE the team becomes aware of the situation and impose their discipline.

It should be handled "in house". (Good luck with that.) All the players, especially the Jenkins and Scandricks of the world, should know what the punishment was. The classroom has to know Spencer was punished, and he should be disciplined. A trip to see the inside of a prison wouldn't hurt. It isn't a fun place to be. Keep getting drunk at night clubs, and you might end up in one.

If he has the time to get drunk and arrested, then, he has time for charity work and working with young, underpriveleged children. Perhaps, his fine should go to charity. He should have to apologize to the team for his actions. It's embarrassing.

If I was Wade Phillips, I would ask him if we need to hold your hand. Do you need "body guards"? I would let him have it. He needs to be held accountable. Spencer needs to remember where he came from, his family. Ask him if he wants to fail them and his teammates who are counting on him to be a player.

I would remind him of the NFL player that was shot a nightclub and killed. Why don't you go talk to the player's mother? Do you want your mom to have to go through that after someone caps you? There are two types of football players that get cut and fail in this league, the ones that can't play and the ones that get into trouble. You can play. Are you willing to throw it all away. How much do you really like playing football? Why would you risk your career by getting in trouble?

I would ask DeMarcus Ware and Jason Witten to talk to him, too.
