If we trade him for a second, is the move still "dumb?"

I doubt we'd trade him but if you're right I'd be happy with a second or a late first

If he can be traded for a pick, they absolutely should tag him. If not, I think they should let him walk.

I think we've seen the best of Spencer already. Stop paying guys for the past.

No.

I've been pro tag and trade since before it was cool.

The fact that they're unsure means they're considering keeping him while tagged.

IT can't sit well with anyone that the Cowboys are about to lose potentially 3 1st rounders in the prime of their careers......

Better trade him.

Highly, highly unlikely I'd say. Not the type of player a team is going to allocate the resources of both a high draft pick and a big salary.

Trade him or work out a good long term deal. Would be dumb to pay him 10 million this year.

I don't see the downside of franchising him at all. No way he wants to go into FA after he hits 30. Dallas has a lot of leverage with this and they can always cut bait if things don't work out the way they want it.

Like Spencer, don't like franchising him.
I believe that they franchised him because they are not that far apart. But, that's just my opinion.
