If he can be traded for a pick, they absolutely should tag him. If not, I think they should let him walk.

I think we've seen the best of Spencer already. Stop paying guys for the past.

I've been pro tag and trade since before it was cool.

The fact that they're unsure means they're considering keeping him while tagged.

I don't see the downside of franchising him at all. No way he wants to go into FA after he hits 30. Dallas has a lot of leverage with this and they can always cut bait if things don't work out the way they want it.
