Spencer returning to practice this week

A healthy spencer and a healthy Lawrence will be nice additions to the DL rotation

We don't know if that's the case though. So what if it's a week early? He needs to get into playing shape and that's what he's doing.

Again, I hope that it is.

Otherwise, I see no point to having removed him from PUP and taking up a needed roster spot.

I only care that the doctors have given him permission to return to practice. I don't pay attention to Garrett when it comes to nuanced variables like recovery time and particpation because he has demonstrated repeatedly that he will be coy and evasive at best. He intentionally misleads as a matter of course.

I don't think he out and lies though. Most people don't seem to understand the nuance between deception and lying. You have to deal with Garrett on a binary basis as he is so slippery with his canned answers. Reporters are a *****y lot about it but it was it is. Deal with the world as it is and not how you want it to be.

If he can't go I'm sure he will be put on IR at some point. But that fact they kept him on the active roster was for his practice time.

Hang on, hasn't Spencer supposedly been doing individual drills and rehab for a few weeks now? I think this is coachspeak for "he has made absolutely no progress."

No. He was further along in sprints and rehab now we are talking about drills

And the move to take him off of PUP would then look moronic rather than just dumb...

Not willing to take a guess on where Spencer is in his rehab. When they feel he is ready then get him out there.

Not really what would look moronic is putting him out there before they feel he is ready. If in the end he does not return until week 6 or 7 then so be it.

For some reason, I feel Demarcus Lawrence will see action before Spencer ever sees the field. Two weeks into the season and Spencer hasn't even put on pads or had any contact. Yeah, that's the guy who is going to save the defense and really contribute. Sorry, I gave up on Almost Anthony a long time ago. Just another cash grab on his part.

Almost....Anthony Spencer.

Be good to have him back for games, finally.

No because they have no idea if he suffers a setback practicing. There really isn't an issue here. Who would've been kept that was a superstar? I think you're reading to much into this. No matter how they handled it they would be wrong. He isn't hurting anyone as he is inactive on Gameday right now. Let him practice and get into football shape. If he was removed from pup it would be weeks before he would be ready because he hasn't practiced or gotten into game shape. I really don't see the issue here

Be it dumb to not just use the six week PUP window the league gives you.

So they need to be a 'superstar' on this talent-starved team?

Really?

More than a little hyperbole being thrown in here, don't you think?

Fact is that each and every roster spot a team has is vital and none should be unnecessarily wasted.

I was being sarcastic. There are only so many players that can be active on Gameday. What other player did you plan on keeping?

Your hyperbole is showing.
