Stephen, stuff it. Jerry, just go drown yourself in Blue and stay out of the football room.

I don't want to hear about financial responsibility and cap space right now. Save me from the intellectual football gibberish about asset allocation and fungibility.

We need defensive ends. And we need them now. There are two solutions right in front of you.

Call Seattle and trade for Michael Bennett. Then sign him. Then, call Dwight Freeney. Sign him, too.

Three consecutive 2nd round picks have amassed Cheech and Chong and a risky futures bet. Meanwhile, a band of gypsies will wander on the field against the Giants in two months with a long season ahead.

A pass rush would cure oh so much.

Spend. Money. Now.

Michael Bennett might be soured on signing here due to his brother's experience with the organization.

I'm guessing he understands more than anyone.

And at this point, that would prevent him from going to half the NFL.

On ESPN radio, Martellus detailed that he didn't appreciate being forced to act like Jason Witten, that he could be a good player without being Witten. He didn't like that he wasn't "allowed" to be an individual during his time in Dallas. His brother is just as much of a goofball.

For the most part, I agree with Martellus. It wasn't like he was causing trouble or anything.

Cowboys front office is clueless. Bennett was a great talent and because he didn't "fit in" they ran him off. He never got into trouble. He was just himself. He loved making Youtube comedic videos.

Are you kidding?

Marty had absolutely no clue what route to run here. Romo had no idea where he was going. He cost him about 5-6 interceptions just because he turned the wrong way or made a weak attempt at the ball and tipped it up in the air. Marty had no work eithic whatsoever, and didn't even like to play football. Texas A&M warned everybody about him.

New York and Chicago had their fill of him, too, and said no thanks.

Although I thought the "Black Olympics" thing was stupid, I didn't see it as some sort of writing on the wall that he didn't belong in Dallas.

He had tons of success with Chicago right after here. And I have no doubt he will succeed with New England. He was just really young back then. Some saw it as being immature. I'm sure Witten and Romo did not take a liking to him. He is the opposite of them.

We have had decent TEs leave. Fasano and Marty B are/were decent TEs that could block and catch.

Marty B and Roy Williams were neck and neck for the annual butter fingers award here.

We got junky DEs. We have a junky Defense.

There where players out there that could have helped, but we said no..we have a bunch of unproven practice squad homies and NFL no names that we want to have a shot. We want to recapture the 2014 magic where we skated by Detroit and then lost to one legged Rodgers. Doesn't seem like we are planning on a Super Bowl run.

After a playoff loss a couple of years ago, John Elway began to assemble one of the NFLs most potent and devastating defenses. In a matter of two off seasons he completed his task and won the Super Bowl with a run down Payton Manning at qb.

There are several articles out there that detail how John Elway rebuilt his defense- I'm sure there will be a couple that argue " naw that foo didn't do it all in two off seasons". That's cool believe what you want, read the articles. If you still don't believe, hey it's all good. To each their own

I'd suffer a decade of 4-11 seasons if we could have a super bowl win next year

MartyB has relied on his talent all the way through College to make him stand out. Now that he's no better than anyone else, and has to actually learn how to execute routes and blocking schemes, he's just meh.

If Dallas don't make a play for Freeney it would be a mistake. That d just needs healthy non suspended bodies at this stage.

Seattle would be stupid to trade him to us and Dallas is too stupid to make that trade.

We'd rather take some ridiculous risk in the 2nd round then go get a proven vet.

I'd sign Freeney ASAP. The rest is bollocks, NO TRADING.

You get a like for using "bollocks". Also I agree.

Does anyone have an estimate of how much Freeny would cost? He played for $1m last year, but I'm guessing his 8 sacks got him a raise.

Why spend money when Romo wont last half the season?

Wait till we get a QB to spend money.
