Exactly what I'm saying. Dallas isn't contending for a sb this season. They didn't do anything to get over the hump. Ya let's play it cheap when romo has 3 years left at best. Makes sense.

Significant players added from last season: Romo, Dez, Scandrick, Elliott, Thornton, Mayowa, Tapper, M Collins, L Collins, Jones, .

Best offensive line in football. Elite QB. Terrific receivers. Potentially elite RB. Elite kicker.

Defensive questions, but lots of young talent that could surface. Biggest question of course.

Tell me who is just awesome in the NFC. Seattle has o-line issues and an aging defense along with the loss of Lynch. The Packers have more holes than Dallas. Carolina looks the best, but Newton has to show more. Minnesota has QB questions. Arizona has holes, too. Who?

The Cowboys are in the conversation somewhere.

Why spend money when Romo wont last half the season?

Wait till we get a QB to spend money.

There are about 10-12 of them in the world worth a crap. About one elite one comes out every 2-3 years.

Romo is one. Strike while you have a chance.

Cowboys front office is clueless. Bennett was a great talent and because he didn't "fit in" they ran him off. He never got into trouble. He was just himself. He loved making Youtube comedic videos.

Great talent? Nah.

Are you kidding?

Marty had absolutely no clue what route to run here. Romo had no idea where he was going. He cost him about 5-6 interceptions just because he turned the wrong way or made a weak attempt at the ball and tipped it up in the air. Marty had no work eithic whatsoever, and didn't even like to play football. Texas A&M warned everybody about him.

New York and Chicago had their fill of him, too, and said no thanks.

Maybe when they told him to act like Witten what they meant was be a professional like Witten. Learn your job and strive to be as good as you can possibly be. I doubt they were wanting anything other than that.

Stephen, stuff it. Jerry, just go drown yourself in Blue and stay out of the football room.

I don't want to hear about financial responsibility and cap space right now. Save me from the intellectual football gibberish about asset allocation and fungibility.

We need defensive ends. And we need them now. There are two solutions right in front of you.

Call Seattle and trade for Michael Bennett. Then sign him. Then, call Dwight Freeney. Sign him, too.

Three consecutive 2nd round picks have amassed Cheech and Chong and a risky futures bet. Meanwhile, a band of gypsies will wander on the field against the Giants in two months with a long season ahead.

A pass rush would cure oh so much.

Spend. Money. Now.

Thank goodness you're not a GM.

Doubly thank goodness you're not our GM.

He just didnt get opportunities here and the few that he did he was Inconsistent. It was very clear he had talent, but so did Witten who was in his prime. I just hate we threw away 2nd round picks on tes.

Worst part is you never know who that elite guy will be. Sometimes elite is someone who does just enough like Russell Wilson. We put the bank on the line while Romo is playing. Because it's going to be a nasty dirty road when he's gone.

It's hard to take you seriously when you call guys like Mayowa "significant" players. He's a Raiders cast off.

He is not even a cast off. He was handpicked by our personnel department. They made a specific effort to acquire him and whether he makes it or not will reflect directly on them.

We should give Hardy another chance. He showed glimpses last year for sure!

Hardy is a pipe dream.. we've seen what happens to players here when they disrupt the locker room with their BS ( see TO and Marty B )

Packers
Cardinals
Panthers
Seahawks
Vikings

Are all better imo. Most people you mentioned are nobodies or rookies. Downgraded at de,mlb,cb. No dt or lb depth.

It is definitely time to kick the tires on anything and everything right now to help this defense. We know it. The front office SHOULD know it. Who knows, maybe they think they will pull a rabbit out of a hat again like they did in 2014. My gut tells me they will hope for magic. Time will tell.

Significant players? Romo is another year older. Scandrick hasn't played in a year and is a slot corner. Thornton is significant, but Mayowa, Tapper, the Collins, and Jones are all huge wildcards.
