With Youtube reviewers I trust liking it and the fact that it has a decent RT score is a really good sign. I should love it.

Take away Last Airbender and After Earth and M. Nights career is excellent in my eyes. I think with Lady in the Water and the Happening people took them a little too serious.

I love Lady in the Water - Was marketed as a horror film, but it's a dark fairy tale. Wasn't perfect, I get some gripes, but I really enjoyed it. The Happening is really just the 2008 The Birds, a Hitchcock homage....and honestly, it's not as though the plot to Birds was less silly. I think it's the one Hitchcock film that has aged terribly.
