It's because of the chance that Garrett could go on become a great coach, the one we've been waiting for and he and he was right here all along right under Jerry's nose.
And your basis for thinking he'd be a great coach is... What?

Yeah and then again he could go on to show that he really isn't an NFL caliber OC or head coach.

I said "could", not "is". Is Wade Phillips' arrow pointing up to where you'd think he'll be a great coach one day? Oh yeah, he'll be here for what? Another year at most?

That's probably right... And like I said, I'd rather have one of the few very good and proven HCs who will be out there than someone like Garrett who's only proven that he needs Tony Sparano to hold his hand.

So go ahead and waste another year under Wade until we hire a proven guy.
So why didn't Jerry in all his "football man" genius, have the foresight to just promote Tony Sparano after Parcells left? You know, since he was holding people's hands and all.

BTW, it was David Yee and Chad Pennington that made the Dolphins offense run. They weren't doing jack squat until the Wildcat formation was run, catching the league off guard. The Wildcat was part of Yee's tenure. Pennington was a game manager that can't win against big teams. Sparano looked horrible with Drew Bledsoe in the pocket.

I don't know, but that doesn't mean you hire Jason Garrett.

We don't know what the future holds. Maybe the question is one more year with Wade and then a proven coach like Mike Holmgren, or Jason Garrett now and for three years... And he turns out to be Scott Linehan.

I hope this rumor is true and Garrett is gone.

Cowboys need someone to open the offense up.

It isn't a rumor any more.

Unless something really weird happens, he's their HC.

Shanahan hasn't even had an interview with us. I haven't even read a report where he has even "talked" to Jerry.

Nor would you hear of it. Yet.
